One of the best games I've ever played. The story in this game is unmatched, and is equally beautiful and esoteric. The gameplay loop is extremely enjoyable if you like exploration and discovery, there's so much mystery and lore to be found within the world. Extremely thought provoking game and one that doesn't take itself too seriously neither. Eagerly awaiting the sequel.

I'm having a fantastic experience at 15 hours in. Unfortunately, this game was hit with a few dirty tricks before it released, such as Denuvo Anti Cheat, 20+ MTX options, bad performance, and an awful PC port. If you can look past all of that, and are someone just looking for a rich fantasy RPG, Dragons Dogma 2 will give you exactly that and a little more as the game unfolds. It truly is a one-of-a-kind video game, such a shame it had to be hit with all of these slimy tactics right before release.

Fortunately all of the items that you can buy with real currency is obtainable in game, and they are naturally integrated as well, no harsh grind needed. I don't see any need to purchase any of the MTX or feel pressured to. It's very easy to forget they exist, but I understand the principle and why you'd be upset. Obviously nobody wants MTX riddled in their singleplayer game. Unfortunate but something I'm happy to grit my teeth at and ignore while I experience the game itself.
