I don't really like roguelikes, but this game is an exception. Its been designed to play in short 60-90 min sessions which is brilliant since I don't get annoyed when I die and I don't lose too much progress. The game offers a great variety of enemies, items, side tasks, locations, pets etc. No two gameplays are the same unless you actually want it since you can replay a map by using the same random seed.

The developer is extremely active and helpful in forums and offering advice and trying to quickly deal with any issue which is a great plus.

2020 wasn't a total disaster, this is a masterpiece.

This is the best hidden object game I've played, I can't think of a single which that comes close to Adam Wolfe. Engaging story, modern times instead of overused semi-medieval magic world, very good audiovisuals and puzzles which while not difficult are quite interesting.

Unbelievable stuttering and freezes.

Edit. Managed to run it on an older machine, no issues there. All in all it's a nice relaxing puzzle game, but it just doesn't work properly on my main pc.

A very short and very good demo or prologue which deserves a proper full game.

Fantastic collection. Cube Escape series is a great entry into the bizarre and unsettling universe of Rusty Lake games. One of the best, if not the very best, games in the genre, I can't recommend them enough.

Desperados 3 is a brilliant addition to the series, a true masterpiece of the genre. The developers have picked the best elements of Shadow Tactics and improved on them offering a very rewarding experience.

Another great game from Amanita Design. While it's not as good as Machinarium or Samorost, it's still very enjoyable. Instead of classic point and click game, Creaks is more of a puzzle platformer with each scene requiring us to solve a clever puzzle in order to progress. As always graphics and music are brilliant.

It's not an easy product to review because it's not a game, but rather a launcher of several games (two at the time of writing) with different quality.

Haiku is my favourite developer of mobile "escape" games, which are more or less like hidden object games without hidden object puzzles. They've developed many excellent titles with action in modern times, something even Artifex Mundi failed to achieve in my opinion.

AEM is a straight forward mobile port and as such it comes with its all original limitations. It's f2p, but you need keys to unlock further chapters and you can only get them by paying or waiting 3h per key. This is not a welcome mechanics on PC and I hope it will be changed in the future. Personally I'd rather pay for each game and play whenever I want, perhaps each game could be a separate paid DLC for AEM which could stay free.

AEM comes with two games: Trapmaker and Pirate's Treasure. I enjoyed both on mobile, but I'm not sure if it was the best choice. Trapmaker is not the newest game and it shows unfortunately. Also Kate, the main character, makes several remarks to previous games, which won't be understood by new players. Pirate's Treasure, being a more modern title, seems much more polished and enjoyable to play, but I didn't find the main two characters to engaging.

A much better choice would be to launch AEM PC with Haiku's newest game The Covenant, which is a truly good, modern title. I'm sure this would attract many players.

I think it's still worth it to give AEM a try, but this is based more on what it can become based on the mobile version rather than what it is now on PC.
