Hi Butterfly, Otherland has had a player boost recently due to a streamer reviewing and playing Otherland so it's a little busier than normal, would be great to have some of the older players drop by again :)

Just running around for nostalgia sake. I get the feeling it's not going to make any kind of come back...which, IMO is sad. I love those books and I DID love playing--back when there was a decent population playing. It's just so dead every time I go back. =(

I remember THERE, it was fun! I Also played The Sims Online, the whole mafia drama was interesting and funny at times. I miss both those games, I went on to find Second Life to replace both THERE and TSO. steamhappy: I met my wife on Second Life so good things do happen in Social MMO's!

Come play DDO friend! It's surely more fun than Chess! You can join my guild on Cannith server, we got some good folks. DDO has over 36 Updates over 11 years, the 3rd Expansion Ravenloft set to release in 2 weeks! I think it'll be around longer than Otherland! hahaha! Character development can get deep with multi-classings, past life feats, epic destinies, races, so much to see and do! Bring your friends and twitch your way on over! ^^

I gave into curiosity and reinstalled Otherland. So far it's not so bad. Not one glitch/bug until I went to U|Space initially. No lag either. I think we should see if it can handle a load of folks on it. I am once again going by Ree.Vize

Wish it could still be relevant today.

To answer your question Yes! I feel like I need o at least keep up with Otherland because of my love for the story and my involvement in early phases of the game. I currently have AO at around level 12? I think? ADD ME We need to Clan up again. Not sure if there are any official clans in the Public release.

Still, it's a game I've had my eye on for a bit since it did interest me (and was playing a previous game of theirs, Grimlands, before the plug was pulled). So probably going to pick this up.

I'm part of Otherland's cult following, I own the books and love the theory behind the game. Otherland is a bit rusty, it has major potential, we will see if the devs can get it polished. I enjoy it accept that cap level is 64 and they haven't released the rest of the questline and hard capped us at 55. So I have a 55, 55, & a 50. Also endgame content is not fully released, so not much for me to do there anymore, hence me trying new things out :)

Oh god you play Otherland. I have to ask - how've you been finding it (going to assume you've been enjoying it).
