overall i recommend this game to anyone who enjoys games like resident evil. that said its incredibly short. i beat it on my first play through in 3 hours and thats with me really taking my time and exploring everything. its short but sweet. what is here is excellent and i look forward to what is next. the game ends on a lousy cliff hanger. in fact i had no idea i was near the end and it caught me off guard when the game just ended.

dont let that deter you though. get this on sale for sure. great game overall.

I've been a huge fan of mgs for 20 years now and have played them all relentlessly. I know these games better than the town I grew up in. that said, the master collection is a hard buy. it has some serious issues that really bring it down. the audio is horrid for starters and the resolution is 720 which looks really bad. and you don't need to look far in the forums to see it has a whole bunch of other issues.

that said you do get a smooth 60fps which is more than you got on the ps3 and an emulator so thats good. the new controls are easy to get used to. plus some of the issues can be fixed with fan mods which is a must imo.

if you plan on modding this to fix some of the issues then i suggest buying it. if not then I suggest waiting until they fix the game. if konami fixes the game I will update this review to reflect that.

its not very good. while the formula is there it just controls very badly. whenever you switch to a weapon there is a second or so delay before you can use it which can make the difference between life or death. also aiming is incredibly floaty and its difficult to make accurate shots. im a huge fan of survivor horror games but i would say skip this one.

pretty good remake. actually runs pretty well. hardly had any stuttering that other people have mentioned. pick it up on sale

If you are a fan of survivor horror get this game. Its pretty damn good ngl. I believe its by one guy? its really impressive work and honestly worth your time.

So its slightly better. thats the most I can say about it. With some tweaking I was able to get a stable framerate and played through the game multiple times. it still shouldn't perform this badly however. if you are willing to tinker a bit to get it performing well then get it on sale.

well its been some time and thanks for frame generation this game is now playable

Buy it. I don't know if there is anything else I can really say that can sum up my experience with this game. Dedicate a weekend and buy the game.

Now that the game is patched up with new game plus this is an easy recommendation. great game, fun gameplay, and interesting story. i really like the "every man" that is the main character. if you are worried about pc performance i havent had any stuttering whatsoever on my 3070. my only gripe is that its not scary in the slightest bit. pick it up on sale for sure.

great follow up. some new enemies, some new locations, new weapons. much shorter, doom 3 took me about 18 hours to beat but this game took me about 6. thats not much of a bad thing however. if you really enjoyed doom 3 by all means pick this up as well.

Absolute classic game. Nearly 20 years later and it still holds up, both in terms of gameplay and graphics. If you get this game be sure to download, dhewm 3 mod, redux mod and the enhanced edition mod. reshade goes well also.
