This game is sick. The classic version is totally not full of horny furries. It's an "educational" game. Remember this.

Ugh.. Tower unite is a very fun game, but it has a lot of problems. It's a wonderful and one of a kind game, in the sense that there aren't many games that just let you build whatever social environment you'd like easily (ex: vrchat requires using unity, which is a large barrier to entry). The downfalls of the game, however, are plentiful.

Developers:
The developers are pretty incompetent. I know they don't get paid much, as this game is made by an independent studio and was initially funded by a kickstarter. That being said, there's a huge amount of development work that's focused on adding small things that just clutter the game, while leaving broken things broken. The developers were also banning certain people at one point in time, for simply having legitimate records on some gamemodes that the developers didn't think was possible (even though they were legit).

The developers don't seem to know what feature creep is, and are addicted to adding new things that are already half broken on release. Someone needs to lock them in a room and force them to fix the spaghetti code they have been throwing at the wall for the many years they've been developing this game. It's starting to get real dirty.

Performance:
This game is horribly optimized. Even without community content, which you can disable, the game runs like ♥♥♥♥. The developers have only made menial performance boosts over the years it's existed.

Oh yeah, and if you host a lobby, your client fps is locked at 60.. Because the developers don't know how to properly create a client side server that's separated from the game itself. This wasn't always the case either, lol.

Conclusion:
It's fun with friends, but the game itself is kind of dead nowadays. Not many people play anymore, because the developers don't fix the blatantly broken ♥♥♥♥. I think it's worth a play and can be really fun, but keep in mind the downfalls, and I'd personally only buy it on a sale. Again, I still do think it's worth it and I don't wish for this game to die. But the incompetence of the developers kind of seals it's fate.

Despite many people complaining about bugs, I really like this remaster. The facial animations are so much better and it tremendously increases immersion for me. The biggest (and only) bug I can remember effecting me throughout the game was footstep audio only showing up in my left ear for some reason. This *was* very annoying, but I still thought it was a good remaster.

Introduction
As a huge fan of the original games, and Chloe Price, I was tremendously excited to get a chance to see more of my favorite character in action. I came into the game completely blind and was excited for what it had in store.

First impressions
When you first launch the game, it's immediately apparent that the game is in an entirely different engine. This is very jarring, as the art style in the original life is strange game was developed to work in tandem with the customized visual effects and qualities of the engine. Being ported to the unity engine makes the game already feel like a cheap asset flip.

Voice Acting
As soon as Chloe opens her mouth, it's very apparent that the voice actor has been replaced. Every voice actor in the entire game, with the somewhat-exception of Chloe's mother, sounds disinterested and mopey; and I'm pretty sure only a very few are the original va's.

Story
Oh my god, the story of this game.. I don't even know where to start. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ romance with a character you already know will die (not a spoiler, Rachel amber is dead in life is strange). There's no substance to anything going on. No reason to care about any of it, things just keep 'happening' and you're given the two worst options as choices to respond, nothing is ever resolved well, and the game takes itself way too seriously to have such ♥♥♥♥♥♥ writing. Especially the scenes with Chloe's old father are exceptionally hilariously terrible, as the VA is talking with a floaty bubbly voice and he's incoherently rambling about garbage for like ten minutes. The story makes no sense, the characters have no motivation, and the whole thing is an insane trainwreck. Scenes that should take 5 minutes end up taking twenty because you have to "grab x thing" or "explain super obvious thing" or "be lectured by this dude about something really stupid i want to go home now please for the love of god let me stop playing this game." I obviously haven't replayed the game, and at the time of writing this I haven't finished the game yet, although I am close. That being said, it feels like there is no weight to any of your choices in the entire game except some tiny dialogue trees.

Gameplay
Instead of being able to reverse time, you're able to "backtalk" people into agreeing with you? I don't know, it doesn't make sense, it's a terrible narrative decision, and a boring game mechanic. I have never failed a "backtalk" session and the dialogue during them is terrible. You also have to use wasd to select things instead of the mouse now, for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason. Not much other gameplay as its basically a third person visual novel, like the other life is strange games.

Remaster
The remaster is supposedly the cause of most of the bugs in this game. That being said it's really funny that some audio lines just don't play and the subtitles just get stuck or don't show up at times. Also, you can overlap multiple voice lines over each other. Super unpolished and dumb.

Conclusion
This game sucks, it's a disgrace to the original life is strange game, and it has no weight behind the storytelling. The writer for this game is a different writer than for the original life is strange game, and he works for a mobile game company. The whole game is completely outsourced and not authentic in any way. Imho it's just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cash grab asset flip of the original. Save the time and do not play or buy this game.

I may revise this review when I finish the game, but god is it horrible.

Still many bugs and super laggy, mouse input has improved but is not perfect; but with the proper tweaks to the client and game settings, it can be pretty fun. One of my favorite games right now.
