This game is just fundamentally broken and I think their marketing team outperformed their developers by miles.

Characters are boring. Some have good voice actors some have terrible ones. Jackie is beyond annoying and I haven’t found one character that made me feel invested or intrigued. Except for Adam Smasher, that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is scary.

Customization was supposed to be supreme in this game. Instead we get several presets for your character but no way to edit or sculpt yourself. I think someone even made a subreddit for cyberpunk character fashion or something. Too bad you can get a better customization experience in TES Oblivion.

The combat is so underwhelming. When reviewers kept claiming that combat was just slow they meant that it’s not fluid at all and plays like a fallout 4 clone but worse. Combat feels like it wants to be division/destiny/fallout with some hacking involved that proves to be useless if you’re not sneaking. Sneaking is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring trying to scan random objects to distract guards or unlock more ram to ♥♥♥♥ their systems up or whatever. I have no clue how to hack consoles I don’t understand the sequence system and it does not explain itself well at all.

The world is empty. Nobody does anything. I think GTA: San Andreas might have had a more impactful environment to interact with. That’s not to say it’s not cool to LOOK at but I’m playing a game not watching a movie and this seems like one big interactive movie.

I’ve played so far about 5-6 hours and I literally just beat the prologue moving into the interlude or whatever it’s called. The amount of dialogue I had to sit through that drones on and on and on and is so boring, I think the only part I enjoyed was when you load the BD to do that heist quest.

Dialogue options are minimalist, yellow options progress the scene and blue ones are just a waste of time because they just make the part that doesn’t let you play the game last even longer. Yellow dialogues, if you have more than one option for them, are really the same regardless what you pick and do not change the outcome at all, which I’m sure you’ve heard about that one already.

UI is a cluster♥♥♥♥ to look at, it’s not easy to understand what you’re picking up in the world, everything wants to pop up in different parts of the screen and I find myself just hitting F non stop whenever I see an item symbol so that I can collect things for 10 minutes and decide what is trash that I need to drop from my inventory later on.

Speaking of F, I haven’t seen a game that makes you press F so many times to do everything. Stand up, sit down, talk, basic character movement is bound to a dialogue choice. They missed a good opportunity with the flathead part of the heist quest to let us jack into the flathead and control it to its destination. Such a no brainer, I’m sure we’ve all played Aliens vs Predator from 2001 and got to be a facehugger looking for a host. That’s exactly what this flathead was doing just a little change in species and motive. Instead of that I had to point my mouse at certain objects and then press F. It wouldn’t let me distract the house cleaners with any object in the room, just the scripted one. On Rails.

I didn’t expect this game to live up to its hype but damn I didn’t expect it to be such a flop. There won’t be any more development or patches that can give us the game that we thought we were going to get.

All of it is lacking and this game is some awful on rails interactive movie at this point.

Not worth the 20$ price tag. Fun for about an hour, then it becomes extremely boring and repetitive.

CS2 ruined everything I loved about CS:GO.
