ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ🤡 Why so many negative reviews? 🤡
Some people get upset about critical game reviews. This is a breakdown of why not every game deserves your money.

As Nikolay Atamov famously said, "88% of everything is crud!" This applies to books, videos, TV shows, and yes, video games. If you disagree with my reviews and buy the games I advise against, you'll likely understand after experiencing that "88%"

Most people ignore bad games. I actively review them, giving each game a fair chance based on rigorous quality standards for PC gaming. I never intend to write a negative review; I simply assess games objectively.

Reviews are opinions, but some are more informed than others, based on experience, facts, and reasoning. Your opinion on a low-resolution mobile port might differ from mine, but informed opinions are valuable. I believe PC gamers deserve the best.

The trend of participation trophies diminishes genuine achievement. Many Steam reviews are similar: if a game runs, it gets a thumbs up. This is often because reviewers are already predisposed to like the games they buy. Just because a game is published on Steam doesn't guarantee quality or deserve positive reviews. I don't give participation trophies.

Negative reviews are valuable. They highlight problems, allowing informed purchasing decisions. Understanding a game's flaws can actually *encourage* a purchase if those flaws are acceptable to the player. Negative reviews are often the most honest.

Most developers aspire to create great games like "Postal III", "Concord", "The Lord of the Rings: Gollum", "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League", "Skull and Bones", "The Day Before", "Forspoken", "Smuta", "Foamstars" or "Welcome Back To 2007".
However, many lack the resources, talent, or expertise for high-quality development. They resort to game construction kits and asset store templates, intended for learning and small projects, not professional releases. These products rarely meet the quality standards I recommend.

I sympathize with developers' dreams, but my reviews focus on the *product*, not the person. I can't recommend a flawed game simply because the developer tried their best.

Steam is for *PC* gamers, who often invest heavily in powerful hardware. Many games on Steam are ports from consoles, mobile, or web platforms, lacking PC-specific optimization and quality. I rarely recommend these unless exceptional. PC gamers expect games to leverage their high-end hardware with impressive visuals and high resolutions. Games relying on low-effort pixel art or failing to support modern resolutions often disappoint.

Finally, remember that positive reviews for bad products mislead gamers. "So bad it's good" games and asset flips often receive undeserved positive ratings. I won't contribute to this. Giving a "participation trophy" review is ultimately harmful.
