Everything is too tiny, so it's difficult to see things. I keep wanting to zoom in. It might be because I have a 32-inch widescreen monitor. Both the UI (even at scale 3) is too small and all the units and tiles on the screen.

I'm a big fan of Song of Styx, so it's not like I need units to be huge or have high levels of graphics.

It's post apocalyptic Rimworld lite.

It does things different enough from Rimworld that it feels fresh, not just Rimworld with a post apocalyptic mod. Like reusing existing buildings rather then making your own, a more engaging world map and an underground layer.

I don't think it can replace Rimworld, I can't imagine playing this for hundreds of hours, but Rimworld doesn't need a replacement.

It's a pretty simple RTS. Nothing exactly wrong but nothing really that interesting either.

I didn't find my troopers holding down a position and shooting down hordes of bugs to be that exciting. Part of it is the sound design, it just didn't sound that cool or scary. Another part is that the bugs don't get that close most of the time, so it doesn't feel that dangerous.

The game is also super linear. Go from point A to point B (use attack move) hold position C (mainly just put them in a line) and then move from point C to point D.

It doesn't seem to really add much to the game.

I can't see much difference between the new biodome and the temperate one.

In general, I don't see a lot of value in new maps. Once you've hit a population of 100-200 you've won the game, the only thing you can do is keep slowly expanding the population and associated food & etc. I normally stop at that point since it's boring. And you can support a population of 100-200 with less than 20% of the map.

The theater doesn't seem that useful, especially considering how late you get it.

The university might be useful if you are going for the "get 50 of each social group" achievement but otherwise I don't see much point in it.

I never figured out what marble was used for.

All the other new resources seem to be just different types of food resources. There is already lots of different food resources so I don't see any point in adding more of them. I'd argue there were was already too many in fact. More options makes me even more uncertain about what to grow or build.

The Endzone Prosperity DLC was better because rather than stuff things into the mid game, the changes were end game stuff. More upgrades to buildings. They also added some Frostpunk style "people need to have X or will riot" type stuff.

Although I wouldn't stay the Endzone Prosperity DLC was that amazing either.

I can't deal with the obnoxious narration and dialogue.

It's fine to be "jokey evil" but every single of dialogue just hammers to point, it's very tedious. And every line of dialogue is twice as long because they add in more adjectives to maintain the tone.

And this is 16 minutes in! I only just got to the dungeon building part but can't bring myself to keep playing and listening to that dialogue anymore.

I'd refund it but I brought it months ago...

It's really a short story but the story is that of Spice and Wolf.

The game is really barebones. Just play the sequel, Transport Fever instead.

I wouldn't recommend that either actually but that at least is a matter of taste.

Less than 2 hours to finish? That's way too late for any game, even if it cost €2, let alone €10.

It was kind of amusing to play but... it was badly written, the characters were really shallow there was no real plot or conflict. Even trashy fanservice harem anime manage to do better.

I don't reject buying it per-ce but, as a game or even as just a novel, it's really lacking.

I admit that the liked the characters, as shallow as they are, and the art was nice though.

Great story, couldn't "put it down".

Completely linear, no gameplay, no choices to make or even dialogue options. A novel in all senses of the word.

Really wish it did have a branching story, just to avoid that ending. Bastards.
