This isn't Dragon Age. I love the new inclusion - I'm nonbinary myself so I appreciate the option, at least. The writing is even competent, sometimes. But this feels so sanitised. It's not an RPG, and it's not Dragon Age.

One of my favourite games of all time. A fantastic RPG brought together by amazing character writing, voice acting, and strong CRPG gameplay. Can't recommend enough.

Gameplay mostly a step sideways from Vermintide 2, but with significantly fewer classes and terrible performance. This could be excused, given that the game genuinely looks great and will receive new classes as it ages, but releasing an overpriced cosmetics shop on day 1 is rough. It's expensive even by Vermintide 2 levels, but with Vermintide 2 it was to support devs as they update a relatively old game. Here, it's there from the start, offering multiple unique cosmetics whereas there are only 3 different models of cosmetic per class included in the game itself.
As I say, the game itself is great, but I'm leaving a negative review in response to monetization practises.

One of the best new and, interestingly, different RPGs you can get. The combat is satisfying and varied with the sheer amount of abilities characters can get, but of course the main appeal is the progressively generated stories which are simply wonderful. Watching your heroes grow is enthralling, especially in multiplayer. Highly addictive, frequent meaningful updates, thriving modding scene...
TLDR: Buy this game.

It's pretty damn good. Miles better than CK2 was at launch, and probably better than any other Paradox launch too. Here's hoping this pattern of good base games and slow dlc continues.

Easily the best game in its genre - I'd rank this above any Harvest Moon and even the Rune Factory games!
The gameplay is satisfying, basically just a heavily refined and near-perfected form of this genre's gameplay.
There's a wide variety of things to do - farm crops, raise animals, go fishing, go mining, go fighting monsters, interact with villagers, cook, go panning for valuables, raise a family, etc.
But the MAIN THING for me, which really sets it apart in this genre, is how realistic the characters are. Sure, in series like Rune Factory, the characters are hyperbolic and fantasy-esque, and that's fun, but in Stardew Valley they're so much more than that.
The characters aren't always happy, they have realistic worries and fears and dreams. They have flaws, some of which can be overcome with effort, some of which will plague them forever, but hey, that's life. Sometimes this game will make you happy, sometimes it'll make you sad. It's that realistic emotion that helps this game so much.

Please, give this game a try if you're on the fence. You can always return it within two hours. But just give it a shot. Maybe, like me, you'll be addicted. And this whole review is before I've even tried the multiplayer.

Incredibly fun and in-depth story simulator with role playing and strategy elements that has virtually infinite replayability, not to mention receiving near-constant updates and bugfixes, plus amazing DLC and a fantastic modding community.

One of my favourite games of all time. The gameplay is extremely enjoyable and rather difficult, with a good curve to help you get better at it. The plot and characters are both very fun and enthralling, and you'll just keep wanting to do more. Not to mention the music, or the art, etc. I highly recommend to fans of this genre, especially if you like Greek mythology!
