Yes, I'm a keeper and a no-brainer. I'm also the game awards favourite princess and the most interesting game in the world.

You are a sacrificial lamb, the last of your kind. Yet when you die, you are given a second chance by the chained God -the One Who Waits. You are asked to make a cult in his name and oppose the other Gods. You nod. But in your heart you know you will soon ascend to Godhood instead.

What you don't know is that this process involves a lot of cooking and cleaning up after your cult followers. The amount of ♥♥♥♥ you have to clean up to become a God is astounding. When you don't take care of your follower's needs, you venture to the realm of the old Gods, seeking to vanquish them - and bringing home some food as well. After all, you are the sole provider in your harem... ehh I mean family. You need to please and chastise your followers accordingly. They work for you building the base of your dreams but do they disagree with your doctrines? Throw them in jail, or ... perhaps sacrifice them?

The choices and gameplay are simple, yet fun. You spend some time fighting and some time managing your base. The fighting part is pretty straightforward, you have one weapon and one "curse" which works like a magic spell of sorts. There isn't a huge variety but it is pretty clear what everything does. In your base, the managing part is also straightforward, you build, cook, gather resources, assign jobs to your followers and preach to them. When preaching your doctrines which dictate what kind of cult leader you are and unlock certain rituals, the descriptions don't always give you 100% of the information on what everything does. Something that seems underwhelming could be a bit more useful and vice versa. Overall, going into this blind, I have no regrets over my choices except maybe one -the tax collector, which i think is underwhelming.

I am sure you've already seen all the poop and sacrifice comments out there, so you know the absurd moments that come with this game. It is pure fun to play and let's take a moment here to appreciate all the voice acted dialogues that sound like some kind of cthulhian dialect. I found they added to my experience and made me smile, so have fun playing, and boop boop!

Strange Horticulture is a chill game about finding and identifying plants based on the notes you collect throughout the game.

You inherit a shop, where you slowly gain a reputation as your knowledge of strange plants grows. The gameplay is simple: several clients come throughout the day asking your help, which of course comes in the form of a plant (or an elixir) with certain properties. You need to read your notes and try to identify the correct one. You also travel to certain locations to acquire more plants and notes. Sometimes the locations are cryptic and you need to sharpen your puzzling skills to find them.

Anyone who likes attention to detail and finds organizing things relaxing will love this game. There aren't a lot of games out there that scratch this particular itch in such an elegant way. Strongly recommended.

I am giving this game the Marie Kondo seal of approval. Enjoy.

Little Misfortune is a game about a little lady playing a game dictated by the voice in her head and getting into several, well... misfortunes.

I normally get easily tired of point and click adventure games. However, I wouldn't really describe this game as a point and click, but more as a walking simulator, where you occasionally make choices with unknown consequences and throw glitter. Even if you don't think this would make a good gameplay experience, the charm of Little Misfortune kept me going on till the end of the game, which was about 3-4 hours long.

The story was ok, the artwork was cute, but the thing that did it for me in this game was the VERY enjoyable voice acting. I just kept on playing so I could listen to Little Misfortune being cute -and at some point a little ninja lady- over and over again. Some might find the jokes a bit silly, but in combination with the stellar voice acting, I enjoyed them very very much.

I would definitely recommend this game to everyone, but keep in mind, it does not fit the traditional point and click genre you have in mind. If you don't care about the gameplay mechanics, you'll be delighted to join this little lady in her adventure.

Read before buying.

Sparklite is a game where you find yourself in a place where a dude called Baron is taking over the land with his machines and monsters, and you try to beat him to restore it to its natural state. "Sparklite" is your resource to upgrade your weapons and "base" and you get it by killing things, opening chests or slashing the grass.

The combat is tight, and there is not much penalty for dying, as you keep all your sparklite, only losing some of your other loot each time. The map resets and randomly regenerates every time you die though, so you need to re-navigate the whole thing when for example you are heading to the next boss fight.

I initially enjoyed the gameplay a lot, but I soon became tired of three things. Re-navigating the whole map, farming sparklite for upgrades and dying in 2 hits even from normal enemies. I then opted for the easy mode, which supposedly lets you enjoy the story more, only to (again) start dying in 2 hits from normal monsters, just further along the game this time. I could have grinded for sparklite and upgrade everything until I didn't, but I found that a drag, so I never finished the game instead, As a reference, I played around 5-6 hours in easy mode, and made it to the second to last boss, so I did not miss too much of the game actually.

Now, my skill level is not abysmal (as I have at least finished dead cells 0 cell mode), but it is average, or a bit below average I would say. If your skill level is such that you can go for almost no hit runs, or if you don't mind grinding till you get all the upgrades you need, you will find this a fun little game. If you can't be bothered to grind, or get annoyed by artificially expanding gameplay time by just making enemies too lethal in easy mode like me, I would advise you to look elsewhere. This being said, I do not regret buying sparklite, as I have at least experienced and enjoyed about 85% of it.

Whatever you decide to do, happy gaming :)

Turnip boy is about a little turnip that starts the game by committing tax evasion. However there is surprisingly more to come after this, and I was glad to slowly discover there was actually a plot behind this silly scheme.

The gameplay is relatively simple: you slash a few enemies, you do some puzzling. The controls are a bit clunky, but I never felt like they messed my experience since the game is pretty easy after you figure out the puzzling part. My play time is indicative of what it took for me to 100% the game, although I tend to take more time than the average gamer.

As a whole, there is not a huge sense of depth in this game, but it is silly and I did like the way the plot deepened post mid-game. I suggest you watch maybe 5 minutes of gameplay and get this if you like what you see, since it is pretty straightforward.

Have fun committing tax evasion *rips this review in half*

Inmost presents its story as an allegorical fairy tale involving a witch, a knight and the pain that ravages the kingdom. It tries to convey emotion at every turn, be it with the storytelling, the music, or art direction. This is NOT a horror game, if you are looking for something like that, look elsewhere. Moreover, it lasts about 4 hours for a single (not a completionist) playthrough.

The gameplay is of the puzzling platforming genre, as you play several scenes with interchangeable characters -the knight, the little girl and the wandering man. However, be prepared for clunky and slow controls, with the little girl being the worst, while the man being the best and least clunky of the three -thankfully also the one that you play the most with. The puzzles are very easy to solve, solidifying the impression that this game is more about telling a story than it is about its gameplay mechanics.

Overall, I wouldn't go as far as to discourage people from getting this game, as it does have great music, atmosphere and art direction and I am certain there is an audience for it out there. Were I younger and more impressionable, I would perhaps be fascinated, but it seems to create an unnecessarily convoluted story and consequently misses on the emotional impact it could have otherwise had for me. I would therefore, recommend to read a couple more reviews and perhaps watch some gameplay footage before buying.

You are the lord of hell but a paparazzi leaked a photo of you with a cute rubber ducky. Now everyone that has seen it must die for you to preserve your image. This is how Hell Yeah starts, and platformer kick ass action ensues.

The controls are pretty tight, the platforming isn't too hard, and killing monsters is focused on flamboyant action, a mini game for each of the 100 mini bosses' last hit and over the top mini cutscenes when you succeed in vanquishing them. It's style is colorful and cartoony, and the music pumps you for one more level.

I very much enjoyed running around as a rabbit with a bazooka, 10/10 would pop that pimple again.

Sanctuary RPG is an ASCII rpg game, where you play solely with a keyboard. You need to progress through enemies, bosses, and different parts of town all by pressing buttons which correspond to certain actions. You kill monsters and upgrade your gear as in every other rpg. The enemies' movements as well as your own are -for the most part- described on the screen however, instead of shown because of the ASCII graphics.

All this might sound incredibly dull, however I have to say I was hooked on this game the first minute I started playing. Even though I died multiple times and I had to start over, I always had "one more turn" feeling, and after a while, the keyboard clicks and clacks were almost rhythmical and I was in the "zone".

To be honest, there is no easy way to describe why Sanctuary rpg had me so drawn to it. I never really played any similar games back in the day, so the nostalgia factor is definitely not a part of it. What I can do though, is recommend this game for you to at least try. Given its low price, it's worth the "risk" and I am sure that in most cases than not, people will find it as enjoyable as I did.

If you've seen this game and think you might like it, you'll probably like it more than you can guess. The controls are tight and the combat is punishing but does not feel unfair (at least not in early game). Plus the game keeps getting updates and rebalancing, and if you don't like an update you can always play whatever version of it you prefer in legacy mode.

I have 125 hours in and I have not even beaten it in the hard difficulty. Considering how much skill I lack and how much I dislike playing games that are over my skill level, 125 hours is a MAJOR compliment for this game from me. Keep up the good work, devs. As for me, I really need to "git good".

Edit: As I've put more hours into this and got the DLC as well, this is a great time to mention assistive mode, for when you REALLY suck. It makes the game more approachable to everyone so you can have fun no matter what your gaming skills are.
