This did not need to be a new app id. They should've made HQ a separate app and not replace MW22's app id. This is either sheer incompetence or malicious review manipulation.

I can NOT believe they managed to make MW22 unpurchaseable by replacing it with CoD HQ instead of dealing with an internal appid for handling the games

EDIT: They gave MW22 a different app id and the reviews didn't follow, why? That's awful.

EDIT (9.11.2023): They managed to absolutely butcher the user experience further. How. You can't go into ANY of the modes without it needing to boot into the MW22 application. And to switch to another game type you need to *boot into HQ again* just so you can boot into another in MW22. And you have to wait for it to communicate with their servers EVERY SINGLE TIME. You can fix that with better infrastructure incurring massive costs, but you can also fix it BY MAKING A LAUNCHER HAVE A PURPOSE. ALL THEY NEEDED TO DO WAS MAKE INCREMENTAL ENGINE UPGRADES FOR THE GAMES ALONGSIDE EACH OTHER.

This game is okay, actually.
