Think of this game as a cracked and muddy amber gemstone of the purest blue with a mosquito that is carrying the last DNA of a dinosaur — on one hand, the concept of a rhythm shooter with rogue-lite mechanics of the item/gun combination variety is an incredibly fun experience that rewards skill with the highest of highs; on the other hand, the rogue-lite elements are somewhat shallow and get exhausted fairly quickly on a very good run, the characters barely differ from one another (with the exception of like 3 PCs) and the visual design and visual clarity of the gameplay scales from barely discernible to permanent retina damage. The result is enjoyable, but you pay for that joy with your rapidly dropping visual acuity scores.

It's still worth checking out, but for the love of Odin don't play it for the cheevos, the Sanngriðr achievements are not worth the trouble.

I've seen things you androids wouldn't believe... Tens of Loop stacks and tens of Reflective Platings... I watched Hovertanks fly in my face near the Armageddon Heart. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain... Time to die.

Fun fact: damage absorb has a lower cap of -300, while the damage output has no cap. Use Curse of the Wicked and don't die.

It's kind of baffling that it took me 100+1 hours to perfect this game in just two playthroughs. I am pleased to say it was fun all the way through.

It's not without flaws, mind you, and the biggest flaw would probably be the imbalanced state of your Tech-priests after you get the ball rolling after pushing through the early game. AoE weapons with good positioning and proper buffs can be hilariously powerful. However, there is a lot of joy to see a juicy flame blast obliterating swathes of angry space skeletons or a hot and throbbing laser beam penetrating walls and metallic bones alike. When you taste the power of all the tools at your disposal, battles can become surprisingly easy.
Aside from that, there were some technical problems like missing textures on some levels with rising platforms or some writing oddities with either misspelling or characters speaking for others when they really shouldn't. Nothing too obnoxious, but it's there.

The game runs fairly well on my laptop, which has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Pentium CPU of all things. Some noticeable slowdown would only appear in certain levels with lots of details or sometimes after picking an action to take.

Difficulty is highly customisable, with options for enemy health and numbers, currency payouts, point cost for taking actions, and toggling some special things like exploration events, restrictions on weapons, and more. Funnily enough, with increased number of fights on the hardest difficulty, it was much more fun and profitable comparing to my 1st playthrough on Normal. Can't say I'd recommend starting on Hard or higher, though, but if you are familiar with XCOM-styled combat (minus the miss chances), you might as well crank the difficulty up.

Captrix is bae. Music is a banger. Go watch Mandalore's video for a better-structured review.

The quintessential Worms experience.
This game still has working official servers with easy-to-use bot commands to set up your game and customize the mode, teams, weapons etc. It also has some online too! The arsenal is one of the largest ones in the series, and the amount of replayability here is enormous.
Go play it with your friends, you wouldn't want to miss out on the fun that is W:A.

Making sure your legs are OK Simulator 2011 2019.
Do NOT takie this game seriously! Get a farming map, spend some quality time researching and upgrading your crap, and then go on a rampage while jumping over 4-stories buildings with a warhammer! Hack a looter and try to make him kill his brethren! Complete a long-ass mission by shooting a dude through the wall! Obliterate helicopters and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CYBERDEMONS with a 4-shot revolver! Don't hesitate to kill literally anyone in this game, it's probably a roundabout way to advance the plotline anyway! And don't forget to gain them sweet brouzoufs along the way!

Seriously, don't play this game as intended. That's what it's all about. It's absolutely not a finished product, nor does it make any sense, but playing this game just for the ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles is definitely worth it.

The trash can lids are mobilized in times of strife.

This program is to be run for the sole purpose of experiencing the fantastic journey it allows you to embark upon. Strange sightings, abstract music, poetic nonsense and a small sensation of being incomplete after the journey's end - all of it and a little more things await you in Hylics.

Early Access Review
It's that game that you had saw that guy on YouTube play terribly and you had thought that you'd have done better so you'd bought it and now you're too bored to either outplay the guy or to actually follow the updates and stuff.
