It really does feel like a modern runescape. The systems aren't perfect but it is very clear that much love went into designing them.

Just a terriby well-designed game. I always feel like the developers have got my back. I can just focus on killing demons with extreme violence and the game will make sure I reach the next objective, don't get stuck, don't get bored or have to reply a section too many times. The game is just really enjoyable.

Once your progress through the game and get all the weapons, you'll find more arena like sections littered with powerups. A true sequel to the original.

Just good game design throughout.

This is a game you can lose thousands of hours to, if you like communicating with other players, taking it slow and thinking strategically. Don't buy this if you want to pew pew.

Massive kudos to the dev team for the active development on this game. With the infantry combat overhaul I feel like the gunplay feels better than any milsim I've played.

A puzzle game with a deep story, and good puzzles. The game features a thrilling atmosphere and beautiful graphics.

I don't like puzzle games, but when it comes to The Room series it's another matter. These games are so well executed, I've yet to see a single bug or glitch.

I can't comprehend how creative the minds of the developers have to be to be able to make these games, with each game improving over the previous release. Bravo

I am not sure why I own Gun Metal, I must've bought it during a sale years prior to playing it for the first time. However I am not disappointed. It's a simple game where you play as a mech that can turn into a fighter yet, it's a simple concept and it results in great gameplay.

For me the best part is the world, each mission has a fairly big "open" world in which you can fly around. There are numerous friendly station in which you can heal and resupply, you might even see some small humans on the ground. There are even small civilian settlements, farms etc. Including crazy livestock and wild animals of another world, which somehow makes the game more convincing.

I am extremely surprised how well this game holds up gameplay wise. It came out 18 years ago and is still fun even to the players who don't play out of nostalgia.

I really enjoyed the game, it looks good, puzzles are nice, story telling is decent. Just a fun experience in general.
Cool to match some visuals with the novel.

But the game is also fairly buggy, and immediately when it told me there was no saving feature I knew I was going to have issues. Somewhere near the end of the game I had a freeze, and I couldn't continue. So I ended up watching a walkthrough to see what I misssed.

Where is the story? This game has some amazing art and atmosphere, but the puzzles aren't too interesting, there's almost no gameplay, and the story is mediocre at best. For 15 bucks, this game gives you 3 hours of gameplay. Most of that time is just spent enjoying the scenery, and only in the last parts of the game is there some kind of insight to some kind of story. I wouldn't recommend this game to any friends.

This game is great.

But I just can't get a grip on the story. And the in-game menu of which the purpose is to help you keep track of the story is really lacking. There's no summary about what you know of the islands history and the information you've uncovered. A lot of clues don't get added to the clue tab, characters are missing from the character tab etc.

A lot of mysteries go unresolved in this game. Some things are never made clear to the player.
It's clear that the game has an amazing story written for it, but I wished for the game to make the story more clear.

The way the experience in this game is decision based is great, but that system does work in a way where the player gets certain information based on a made decision. Which doesn't help with how the story is unclear in the first place.

The main protagonist is a detective, you have a menu where you can read his notes. Then why aren't there any notes explaining his actual conclusions...

Anyway great gameplay, for a decision based game I wished the outcomes would be a bit less arbitrary but at least the decision do actually effect the story.

The character animations and voice acting are both bad, and when combined can lead to some really irritating dialogue scenes, but the acting of the main character is always decent.

In any way this game is worth your time if you like the Lovecraftian atmosphere. This is one of the best games I know of that really take you into the Cthulhu Mythos.

A true masterpiece by Frictional Games.
I don't think any game studio other than Frictional can make a game with such a dark story.
Excellent as a horror game, and a crazy psychological thriller.

You start out in the game knowing nothing, by the end you'll feel like you know too much.
Compared to Amnesia this game has a lot more exploring and detective work.
Using terminals and notes all around the world you can piece together what happened in that location, and somehow make sense of the story.

This game asks questions I have always feared to ask, to even put my mind to.

In normal mode some chapters of this game play like most horror games where you have a puzzle to solve while evading some monster. Think Amnesia Dark Descent, maybe even Outlast (though less running).
But for some I'd recommend playing in Safe mode, which makes the game play more like a walking simulator.

Though in my eyes it's more fun to play in normal mode because knowing a monster could start trying to kill you at any time makes the game scary at _all_ times, even when there almost never is any actual danger.
