After receiving this game as a gift all i can say is It's just multiplayer Fallout (abysmal launch aside). However for die hard fans I can see where the complaints are. Cant complain either way. Kinda upsetting private lobbies are 12 bucks a month on top of offering micro transactions, its 2022 you cant tell me these triple a studios cant afford to offer that service to its players for free (come on Todd you've sold enough copies of Skyrim enough to swing it). Physics can be a little screwy at times and some areas leave a lot to be desired. I don't have many hours into the game but its not as bad as everyone made it out to seem so will update once I've got more hours under my belt. But I give it 6.5 out of 10. Middle of the road stuff, nothing great, nothing terrible, it's just average. Bethesda really has some work cut out for them with their next title in the series if this is the current state of the Fallout franchise.

Alright now listen up you little scrubs! This here is one of them old timey Simulators. Ya know the kind that granddad or pep pep loves to play. But unlike the ones grandad plays, your pc wont be loaded with desktop stripper viruses from those seedy eastern European websites. Now I am a man of complex tastes like toast and white rice so this game fit my personality well. This game is about as exciting as watching paint dry, relaxing and rewarding. I played this previously when it was in its mmo form and was a slave, then slowly worked my way up to peassant living in the woods being assaulted by cougars and spiders. But now that you can make your own servers I live like a king, being assaulted by cougars...and spiders.

There are a few setbacks to this game however, if your pc doesn't have dual monitors you are going to have a bad time; this game requires an absurd amount of researching at first. thankfully the fine developers had the hindsight to add a wiki of all the things you could ever need to know, it's best to keep said wiki open in a browser while playing. Another thing is you need to build your skills and depending on how much time you put into it this can take quite some time (server permitting). I know it may sound weird but don't expect to be digging on the face of a mountain within the first five minutes of playing.

Now with those things out of the way, this game can be rewarding. Considering the time you put into leveling up your skills any accomplishment you do be it digging a small hole or completing a fortress you feel rewarded. I love this game because of its high failure chances, and slow grind. But for some this may feel like watching grass grow. Not me though, I once spent 14 hours watching paint dry on a cement wall. Now granted i was on pain killers from a wisdom tooth extraction but I did it, and enjoyed it. Another thing to note is the servers, now i recommend spending the fifteen bucks a month to rent a server out. (Bluefang is a great provider if your looking for your standard server) you don't have to worry about becoming a slave or dealing with griefing and wars, but if your into that kind of thing public is the way to go.

The last thing id like to note is the absolute depth of the crafting in this game. the amount of crafting you do in this game still to this day astounds me. No joke, its down to putting tar on ships and pegs in barrels in depth. absolutely everything requires crafting. this game does not give handouts to you except for the standard starting gear. This is where when i was talking about it being rewarding really comes into play. Granted you might spend upwards to 30+ hours playing to start really crafting things that may matter to you.

In conclusion would i recommend this game? Absolutely.

Played this after quitting smoking,and it made me physically ill. Would not reccomend this unless you are a masochist. I almost envy the blind and deaf now because of this game.
