A fine piece of video game entertainment. Defenders vs. Attackers video game with prep thought or goofy memery. Guns feel stylin' and the action keeps you hooked and engaged with random map generation, gear loss gun play, and an art style that is peculiar but color me intrigued with the handful of free battle passes to acquire various cosmetic pieces to stand out from the crowd. Looking forward to more updates.

Story is mid. Gameplay feels pretty good. Could not get into a co-op game for a while so I took a break.

All the game did, at launch, was just make me want to play Darktide more. Worth a pick up when on sale.

Look, it ain't welcoming to new players, but if you give it some time, it has it's place. A jaw-dropping aesthetic with a variety of warriors to choose from to watch get cleaved, stomped, perforated, and eviscerated in front of your very own eyes. A gem in my heart.

Bought a new PC to game it up with the newest titles, particularly Warhammer 40,000 Darktide. Looks great. Saw MW2 coming out soon, picked it up. Played through the campaign and it was okay, writing was kind of lackluster but the cinematic action movie experience was pretty good. The guns sound and feel pretty delicious.

Then came the release.

I move my mouse to the right of the OPERATORS screen, and without clicking anything, it boots me out of that menu. Some maps lag out to high heavens in multiplayer, progression resets some times when the game crashes or I manually close the game. The weapon selection is very limited compared to titles before this one. No warzone or anything like that yet as of this review.

I'd say this game is an whelming 'meh' in my book, but I'd safely, FIRMLY, advise you skip this title for a while. At least, wait until a few whiles after the launch. The content might grow and bring more reasons to play again. Especially with that damn price tag, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Lackluster.

EDIT: They have fixed some framerate issues I've had with my particular machine, but the random crashing is still turning me off bad from this game. If I have a good multiplayer match, game crashes. If I have good loot in DMZ, the game crashes. Disappointing.
