Such a cute and charming little game, I love the atmosphere and vibe of the game!!!! Was worth backing it on Kickstarter years ago

it took 54 hours to get P ranks on all levels and lemme tell ya it was a blast through most of it. I had some anger at two levels while P ranking but other than that the game got more fun the more I learned controls! Absolutely a worthwhile experience in my book

its childhood nostalgia in an incredibly unoptimized port. Was hoping for a nostalgic trip, but just came out with a disappointed disgust

There's not many games out there that are made around a meme that have any sense of replayability, but boy this one does. The fact is, this game has a genuinely fun concept and gets down to the bone what you want. You are indeed powerful, and you jump straight into the action of this game. The phases are based off of each of the obama boss fight memes, and created in a manner that has fun replayability. It is challenging and hard to say the least, but that certainly isn't a bad thing! It's a chaotic mess of memes and action, and for what it is it definitely works. I'd love to see more games that are just based around a singular challenging boss. I know its a meme but I could find myself coming back to challenge this every now and then to get some sort of accomplishment.

It's not perfect however. There are bugs here and there, some are helpful, some are really painful.
-I do believe the difficulties of Hardcore and Ultra Hardcore are bugged as there does not appear to be any difference in gameplay
-There also appears to be a bug with the health as well. Sometimes the health does not drop outside of the phases featuring Purple Hands of Infinity. When that occurs, the only time you can visibly see yourself take damage is if you stand idle for a few minutes, less if you're higher than phase 3. This bug also appears to mess up the healing spell as while it is noticeable and faster than taking damage, it is still miniscule. This bug happens randomly and not every time the game is booted.
-Another bug completely causes softlocks in the final phase, as one of the enemies needed to defeat the final phase froze in place outside of the arena, far enough to make it impossible to defeat the final phase. This has happened 3 times now, and it always appears to be the same enemy. This also happens with the phase prior, where two hands will be stuck behind obama himself and makes it incredibly difficult to destroy these hands, only able to be hit via the Barrage Spell.
-The Power Ups appear to be inconsistent. Some power ups like the speed and mana regen power ups work perfectly fine, while the health regen and the "2x" power up (I assume to be double damage) don't show any effects. These power ups also have a tendency to spawn outside of the arena and are also very inconsistent in terms of picking them up. I find myself running over a power up and not having it pick up sometimes
-I assume this is a bug but it appears that you can still use the fireball spell even when you run out of mana. This definitely is a helpful but I just want to note it if it was a bug
-The Hands of Infinity are very unstable and have consistently gotten me killed due to them. They can still attack and affect the arena even after dissapearing, and this causes issues when the hand isn't killed fast enough and attacks a second time, leaving no time for the other half of the arena to respawn. There doesn't appear to be any signs of damage/health for the Hands of Infinity and Purple Hands of Infinity, and if they're in the middle of an attack when they despawn the attack still continues.
-Yellow hands are a bit inconsistent with their attacks, making it very common for their attacks to not do anything rather than them instantly killing the player as intended. Very helpful at times but still has to be note. They also do nothing when health is bugged, meaning they can't do anything if a player uses that to their advantage

These are the only bugs I could spot but other than that, good soup. Very funny, very fun

Early Access Review
Phasmophobia is a very innovative and unique game and one of the few horror games I have spent so many hours in willingly, always excited for what the next session might hold for me. This game is very good at creating horror using powerful atmospheres and not really jumpscares, though I will admit to being jumpscared a few times from certain actions the ghosts can do. This game is very much in early access so there are quite a few bugs, some more noticeable than others. Some bugs make it difficult for the ghost to behave properly, or to even interact with players properly, others are more comedic/beneficial, such as voodoo dolls glitching out but always counting as interaction photos (free money), or being able to throw objects through locked doors.
Despite this, it really is a fun experience and is something I constantly find myself playing with friends. While I have for sure gotten braver via playing, it still is good at scaring me and breaking down my confidence, especially with the baby rooms.
I must admit some tools do feel confusing to use, sprimarily the parabolic microphone, but most things are pretty easy to understand besides that. But due to the variety of tools, there is a large variety in how someone can play the game, you can play with powerful tools to make you feel safe, or you can play with the bare minimum for a spook/challenge. With the inclusion of bonus objectives as well, you can choose how much you would like to complete before leaving the ghost house. Whether you want to identify the ghost and leave as fast as possible, or attempt communication to collect more photos and complete all objectives, you can choose how and how often you can run into the house
I am very excited to see how this game will evolve through early access, and what the future may bring for the game!

The fact that it is able to make an enjoyable time for me each time I play, just is a great thing in itself
This game has currently three (four in 2018) different stories to play through, and each one has different and unique play styles, which makes the game great to play each time. I even repurchased the game on my Nintendo Switch, just to play it more
