This is unironically my favourite VR game I've ever played so far.

Gun handling feels super natural and smooth, the framerate is (usually) decent even on an old computer, and exploration feels really fun and rewarding. My only issue isn't with the game itself but rather the circumstances I gotta play the game in; I wanna dunk several hours of this game at a time but my legs will usually hurt or my head will get sore from having an overheated brick taped to my face for long periods. But hey, at least this game's pretty good with pick-up-and-play since it has a quick-n-easy manual save feature, so I can always come back to it the next day and get another expedition done.

tbh i dont get the hate, this is kinda fun
while yes it doesnt quite hit the same highs as killing floor 2, it still works for what it needs to do and even runs surprisingly well (enough).

while yes i would like to see some improvements (better vr interactions with the weapons (eg: the option to insert clips/ shells with my off hand to reload, making the shotgun pump actually synced up with my off hand, et cetera), and graphical options to make the game run a lil better) but for what it is, yeah i enjoyed it

im gonna be real, this game is a cool concept and all but it really doesnt work in the state that its in.

first off: nearly 30 bucks???? this game's concept does NOT have 30 dollar longevity. i'd get more out of Stick Fight and that game was $5. once again, its a neat concept but its not THAT neat.

as for the actual game, i did the tutorial, everything went perfect, then the second i tried to play a game with friends it all fell apart. my friend from america wasnt able to join and only my nearby friend could actually connect to my match. when we actually got into the match it RAN TERRIBLY. FOR NO DISCERNIBLE REASON EITHER. this game has literally no graphics menu so its not even like i could fix the problem. (30 dollars btw) and even if we could play the game properly, my friend absolutely steamrolled me and i didnt even feel like i had a chance. projectiles i felt like i should have been able to block just didnt get blocked and instead damaged me (oh yeah i was the giant if you couldnt tell) and the match ended in less than a minute. he didnt even do the tutorial, i was just at an objective disadvantage.

i genuinely dont get why literally every review i see on this game is positive, calling it "the best game ever" and "so good i refunded it just to buy it again" so unless these are paid actors, i genuinely dont get the hype. once again, i love the concept and think it's really cool, but GOD IT NEEDS SO MUCH MORE WORK AND POLISH. IT DOES NOT FUNCTION IN THIS STATE. if you're gonna buy it, dont do it right now. PLEASE wait till its actually finished. (tbh that kinda feels like its on me for paying so much for an unfinished ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, i feel like i got pranked.)

this game unironically went from being the laughingstock of the whole internet and generally being one of the most disappointing games ever made to actual peak

this game's pretty cool! all my friends like it and honestly, good for them! im glad people have a big game they can enjoy at a time like this where thats kinda hard to find for some. just one problem! this game runs like ABSOLUTE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. for some reason it runs better on my steam deck than my actual big slab-o-beef (thats admittedly old but still) pc. if there was one thing i'd like to see added in the future, it's hardcore optimizations to get this stuff running on older hardware. i dont see why not, all you gotta do is get rid of like 90 of the unnecessary fog and smoke effects that keep permeating the whole game.

Its rare for a horror game to use anything other than shock (eg: jumpscares) or dread (eg: slow burn environmental horror) as it's horror basis. this one uses a much less used form of horror: adrenaline. having to fumble with the controls and ui while drum and bass pounds in your ears is enough to give me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ panic attack and honestly? based. everything about this game just makes me feel slowly more uncomfortable as the game goes on, and i'm certain that's intended design.
