Well damn this game chewed me up and spit me out! I am a casual gamer but I didn't find it too hard. This is def a plot driven game. While there are elements of puzzles, detective, minor stealth/chase and very minor combat through the use of spirit blasts and quick thinking... this game at it's core is a story. It could easily span a franchise and the dev team did something new and innovative with their split screen perspective you can toggle between. The voice actors were fantastic and included some well known ones includes the voice actor for Joel from the Last Of Us as the big bad Maw. The game had the odd jumps care but nothing major, it's more so an environment with music and visual that unsettles you. We start out just as confused as Marrianne- the playable character. Aptly named from the White rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, when he misnamed Alice as Marrianne. Indeed, Marrianne travels through many looking glasses. The game has a lot of potentials and while it at times is a bit clunky the devs seem to be on top of patches.

I only have two major issues with the game:
1. You have to kill the maw over and over again it just sort of loses its impact. Maybe some more varied and smaller bosses leading up to the Maw would have been good.But it just gets annoying by the end. Didn't I already Kill this guy?

2. The ending. it's open ended. I want to know what happens and I'm sure that's the intention of the dev team. But it's annoying to spend that time in a game and not know. Maybe setting up for a sequel? Who knows.

There's a dog, he doesn't die or get hurt so don't worry. A few little details of the setting (Niwa) and the big baddy (The Maw) are never fully explained why did people and animals rot from the inside out for instance? Was the Maw just jumping from person to person?

I really loved the whole concept of this game and I loved that it let me explore a bit despite it being linear and no real choices. It would have been nice to have more choice in the storyline to see what could happen, but the split screen graphics were pretty ambitious enough!

Most people finished it in 10 hours. I am a slower gamer and I enjoy crawling around the map and trying to complete all the achievements and take in the storyline, but I still managed to miss a few. Over all, I think it's worth the price point though others may disagree. It just really comes down to what you value in a game.
