9/10 One of the best, if not the best colony management games out there.

Honestly a fun little game. I honest to god pray that the dev keeps working on it because it has some major potential imo.

Dev, if you're reading, youre doing a great job and I genuinely will buy this the second it comes out. Here are my critiques though:

Easier things to fix that would immediately make the game 10x more popular.
1. No hotkeys for units. Hitting control + a number while having a unit or group selected something like that.
2. No hotkeys for planets.
3. No descriptions for any units or buildings.
4. U.I. Needs overhall at least in the build menu because I constantly got lost trying to find a tier 3 offshore wind farm or others.
5. Can use e + q to shift in the map screen but not on planets?
6. No hotkey for immediately going to the solar map.
7. Trees dont make much sense. I mean I didn't think I could build on them in the first tiers and I only realized I could suddenly after tier 3. I might just be dumb but they just dont make sense.
8. The explaination for the icons in trade doesn't make much sense. I don't know why but it took me forever to figure it out but I think it has to do with the first thing in the next section.
9. No science hotkey

Hard things to fix that would elevate the game from full of potential to 5 strategy games.
1. Pacing: The pacing in the game is insanely slow for an rts. The game is a mix of all of my favorite genres: strategy, colony management, rts-- i mean this game is picking all of my favorite parts and putting it into it. The problem is that you might be biting off more than you can chew. If you want it to be an rts, anything like the greats, it has to be shorter an hour at least. My game took 3 hours, 1 ♥♥♥ on easy. The typical Starcraft 2 being on average 11-13 minutes. To be honest though, there is too much already there that feels really nice like the colonies and getting them interconnected through trade-routes and all that to cut it for time. Remove the RTS aspect. I might get hate for that but you don't have to do much. Go for the Stellaris strategy: add a pause button that anyone can press that pauses for everyone, if the host of the lobby toggled that off then it never pauses. Maybe add a x2 x3 x4 speed option for people if they want that. Idk.

If that is added it doesn't entirely solve the issue. The problem is getting to the next tier feels like making a new factorio base, each time getting more meticulous and detailed. Even when you complete the supply lines and set up the factories, you have to wait for everything to stabilize, then wait for colonists to arrive, then your curcuits aren't producing enough so you have to wait again. W.I.P.

I am not done with this review but I don't want to lose it so I'm just going to post it and come back to it. I'm going to play with friends and see what their opinion is too.

From the bottom of my heart there is no better colony builder game. It has a few things to get used to sure but no other game truly makes my colony and people feel alive. It's genuinely 10/10.

I don't know if I'm just a wuss but I cannot bring myself to play this anymore because of how genuinely scary it is to me.

A great concept plagued with bad design decisions.
