Early Access Review
I truly believe that this is one of the best games released this year and that is why I have nominated it as such. The game play is exciting and the open world is beautiful. It was difficult to choose which nomination that I wanted to put it in for, but I feel that the game of the year, covers it all.

I really tried to get into this game. I really liked the Life is Strange stuff and so I honestly thought that this would be similar. I was very wrong. I could not get into it. I was bored out of my mind. I am very thankful that the first part was free, so that I do not have to go begging for a refund!

Early Access Review
After 132 hours of playing this game and watching and waiting for more content to come out, I am ready to give a review. Please understand that this game is still in early access currently.
Starting off as a new player, I found it difficult to get into foundation. It is a good concept, and like so many other games out there that have stood on the same game structure, they have made small changes here and there to create something "new". As time has passed, the developers have really put time and effort into making this a much better game. They have wonderful, promising attributes, that have been released as “up and coming”. Currently in the state that the game is in, it has finally picked up a life of its own and is working towards making a name for itself. The game had and still has a lot of UI issues and bugs that are being worked out. The developers seem to have fixed most mapping issues now, and the pathing is not as bad as it was in the beginning, although it could use some more work, but I am sure they have heard that a lot.
As far as the game currently stands, I would purchase it again. It has promise, and I am excited to be in on the ground floor as they are improving. If you like simulation games and you are thinking about buying this one. I would say go for it.

I have been watching patiently as this game has progressed before I made my decision and started a review.
Founders Fortune started out rocky at first, just like any other new game just coming out of the alpha/beta stage. It took some time to work out some kinks and more bugs as they were found, but I can tell that Dionic has been and still is dedicated to the progression of the game, as they have fixed things on a regular basis. The AI is progressively getting better and the modifications that they are releasing periodically are helping to make everything run more smoothly. As always, everyone can find something to complain about or that they want changed, so I will leave that part be for now.

Game Play: This game reminds me of several of my favorite games, (The Sims, Harvest Moon, Foundation and a few others.)" but also adds a new flare that I would have liked to see in other games, which gives it a leg up in my book. It seems to mesh all these games together and adds the positive characteristics of all of them into one localize data base.

How it is like The Sims: You build homes, decorate, eat, drink, party, and build relationships with other citizens and make sure that each citizen needs stay met.
How it is like Harvest Moon: You can plant, cultivate, and harvest crops, you are able to have animals and care for them as well as befriend them to a point. The game play and the AI itself feels remarkably similar as well.
How it is like Foundation: One of your "duties" as the game master, is to make sure that your citizens have all their needs met and that they each have a job to do to make the colony survive. This is also like a bunch of other games, so if you like this concept, you could compare it to more games than I probably could.

Some Extra Game Play Bullet Points:
- You may have little quests to complete, or tasks that have been asked of you to make happen to get certain items in the game. I found this to be nice. I like to be rewarded for my work.
- You can train your citizens in multiple careers, so that if one job is finished, then they can help in another area and know what to do. I also like it that you can set the priority of jobs for each individual citizen.
- You do not control the movement of any character manually at all. You can tell a citizen to go and do a task, but you cannot take over their body and move them to just any location.
- The citizens have their own traits that have been predetermined. If you give them items or meet a need that they have, you are given points that you can use to redesign the citizens behaviors and traits.

The game is full of help from the start, You will meet some really great people and spend way to much time chatting and laughing online. It is a time consumer! That being said... There is a lot of drama from a lot of different people in this game, just like in any other. I am giving this game a negative review, because it is so slow and just a time waster. After you have spend 10+ hours, you still haven't gotten anywhere and that doesn't change any time soon. It is not a pay to win game, despite other things that you may read about it. There is no way to speed up research and if you do not spawn in a good spot, with things around you to do, like gathering, you just sit there and twiddle your thumbs. Don't even think about joining an alliance and then changing. DRAMA city! I ended up deleting the game, just because of the fact that it wasn't fun enough to keep my attention and also deal with all of the drama from people when their feelings get hurt. I'm glad that I tried it out, and you should definitely try it out if you like this type of game. It just wasn't for me.

Planet Zoo, isn't a game for everyone, and I get that, but I can't stress enough that it has done nothing, but get better with time! I am so happy to be able to write a positive review on this game. In the beginning, I was flustered with it, just like everyone else was. It was a buggy mess and you couldn't play most days without crashing. As time has gone on, the developers have really put their hearts and time into it and it's apparent. The bugs and crashes are at a minimum now. Even with the most elegant of languages, I still can't even begin to express to you, just how beautiful the game is. The graphics are amazing and the animals have been so perfectly represented that even the way they react with one another is just phenomenal. If you are on the fence about trying it. Jump over and start the fun!
