Really fun game! Very funny and I love the characters of Lilli and Edna. The art style is very pleasant and fitting. It feels almost like a Newgrounds Flash game but in the best possible way. The puzzles are good too! Highly recommended if you like quirky adventure games

Quite a fun adventure game! None of the puzzles are too hard but they aren't mind-numbingly easy either. Fran Bow makes for a very charming protagonist and the art style is generally very pleasant. My only real complaint is I feel like the story/"lore" is a bit bloated - some of the supernatural stuff kind of detracts from the more morbid stuff for me.

Fun experience overall though!

This was not at all what I had expected coming off of Penumbra: Overture. I had heard it's more puzzle-focused, but I didn't realize it'd be to this extent, and honestly to the detriment of the overall tone. This largely doesn't even feel like a horror game apart from the environments and the occasional enemy encounters. Instead, this game takes heavy and apparent influence from Half-Life and Portal. For most of the game there are no monsters, and the few monsters aren't very intimidating. The game also tends to be quite brightly lit, unusual for Frictional Games...

Even apart from the shift in focus away from scaring you, the game has quite a different tone from Penumbra: Overture or Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Again, it feels a bit more like Half-Life: dark, but not very frightening or even that unnerving. The addition of the two other characters doesn't help, especially Clarence who is basically comic relief. I mean, Red is pretty goofy in the first game, but... Red is a better character than Clarence. Frankly, I don't find the narrative in this very interesting or pleasing either. It feels a bit generic.

Thankfully, the game is saved by the fact its puzzles are good! It would be bad if they weren't. I recommend this if you like short puzzle games, and not so much if you want to be scared.

Not as polished or as tight as Amnesia: The Dark Descent, but still quite scary and has the same great gothic/Lovecraftian sort of tone. Plus there's just something very satisfying about the physics engine these games use.
The combat can be very frustrating but thankfully it is often avoidable through hiding and running.

it's like stardew valley but it's more engaging because there are rpg elements and a significantly cuter art style

it's a classic for a reason. you'll definitely enjoy this if you like other RPG maker horror-puzzle games like Mad Father, or even survival horror series like Silent Hill or Resident Evil, since they both mainly revolve around exploring somewhere and solving puzzles and stuff, just this is more simple and more story-focused. really good
