Protect Rambley at all costs

Really fun and interesting game play.

Keep in mind the game is very early and very poorly explained in the tooltips.

The balance is also EXTREMELY Wack. I was playing the game and had a perfectly scaled fort and a green dragon just came and wrecked my fort with no warning. they were not even on the map.

I only recommend it because its an original take on a rougelike and has great bones to become something awesome.

it just needs a lot of help.

Id rather pay 60 bucks for a cart racer with all the characters. The game play is solid. I got this game because they announced figment was a character and not only is he behind a wall of monetization, you have to LOOT BOX "shards" of the character. you need 10 shards to make the character and the odds of getting just one are %0.62. RIDICULOUS

I was so mad about the predatory monetization i got Chat gtp to write me a review in the style of Siskel and Ebert. Its 100% accurate.

My society' story: Everything was going fine then everyone died because they didn't have a bonfire to sit at.

Some bullet point complaints:
2 hours of play and the only thing i had to show for it was 6 houses and a few roads.
Automation seems broken. People will just work themselves to death.
The game's tutorial hardly goes into the deep depths this game has to offer, leaving you feeling confused.
Complex to the point of being obtuse and unfun
HOW THE HECK DO YOU FULFILL RED NEEDS?!

Absolutely unfinished. Absolutely confusing.

(update: they seem to be updating many of my issues out of the game. the dev team is active and i may have been rash with my first impressions. My complaints stand but they have been addressed on further reading.)

i totally missed the hunter in my first play through. while it was probably mentioned in the tutorial I didn't exactly catch on to the whole BUILD aspect of my civ. Ill give it another go.

If the ASCII graphics scare you away from DF then this is a great place to get started.
While i cant play the game at 420 keystrokes a minute in this version it is MUCH easier to tell what is going on at a glance.
The gameplay takes a LOT of getting used to if you're a veteran player. it may even hamper you play a bit. The mouse.... i hate using the mouse. I miss the keyboard controls. A minor gripe... but it makes the game rough.

But damn... that map. The map is NICE.

Has good bones but the fact that you're restricted to small rooms really turned me off.

If you want this game to design coasters its very limited and restrictive. you're stuck to a single small room until you grind out the bigger PREMADE room sizes. (i understand its called Indoor Lands... but i'd like to crate and place custom room sizes)

Maybe it will improve in the future but this just was not for me.

Finally beat the story after 3 years and 107 hours.

More games need this much mystery.

I'm hitting every single button on the controller.

dodge, hold a, let go to jump, hit x to do a trick and left bumper to flip, all while spinning with the thumb stick. While you're doing that switch to the grenade launcher to hit the foes out of range of your guns. switch back to the shotgun before you land to hit the Laser gunner who keeps aiming at you. He teleports away as you switch to you pistol to shoot the missiles that have been chasing you down for the past 15 AGONIZING seconds.

do it. play this game if you think you're GAMER enough.

Only worth it for the character creation. The gameplay makes absolutely no sense.
