Overall it is good co-op game that has potential to develop into great game. However there are things that need to be addressed:
- devs should see if something is enjoyable to use and don't nerf it(like railgun that was strong but due to bug became overpowered and it was nerfed too much, idk if bug was fixed), buff weapons that were lacking like it was done with flamethrower or EAT.
- it is live service game and hopefully it can work in the future even if devs go onto other projects
- needs more content, like maybe some prestige system and more things to buy with currencies, which are still being added but werent present in the beginning
- better patch notes

Overall good game but can be even better.

EDIT:
Had to edit after scummy move by Sony. You edited the page about PSN requirement. You sold game in countries that do not support PSN and now you want to force people to use PSN that cannot use it. I support the players. Hopefully in the end we all can play HD2 and not being discriminated by PSN.

Sony caved with PSN for the moment. However I leave edits as history of their greed being fought against.

One of the best submarine simulators mixed with drama and full of chaos cooperation. I do truly recommend it. Buy it before 1.0(very soon, there is prepatch already) if you can.
Additionally there is mod support. Cannot really recommend it more!

Looks basic in gameplay but is very addicting and has plenty of things to unlock to keep you playing again and again :)

Weird experience. Not trippy. More like a showing off of your "art" and creativity. Some levels felt more inspired. Others less. As for free experience, I did enjoy it for what it was.

Probably the biggest question. Is it worth 14,99$? Maybe. I got it at 11$ and got some hours out of it.

I think the game has a potential. There is enough content to justify the price but some parts of the game do not come as well together as they could. Combat is very basic and could be improved. The gene editing is interesting but comes out as strange without too much exposition and purpose. Guests mechanic is very barebones, similary followers lack in free will and direction. It may look a little like Rimworld but if you expect any "colony management", there is nothing like that. Maybe mods will change that but it seems there isn't any base npc AI for that to work correctly.

Maybe mods will fix some parts of this game idk. However if developer does not want to improve the areas that I highlighted, it may be very hard to even mod in those potentially missing features.

TLDR:
IT IS NOT LIKE RIMWORLD, it only looks like it. If you want Terraria experience then play Terraria or Starbound. It has potential but if you look for a game to play for long then you probably shouldn't buy it.

I was motivated to finally write this due to the massive amount of Russian paid trolls.

Besides that I think it is great game and shows real horrors of war. The action to help Ukraine now is an the icing on the cake.
Don't be mistaken, we cannot erase past faults of Poland or other countries but that does not justify agression of invasion for any country. So people complaining about "hypocrites" are themselves what they accuse or are just paid Russian trolls, which we all know exist.

Game is good, if you want the game and help Ukraine during this sale now, then please buy on GOG or here(Steam still takes the cut, GOG doesnt as they also said they will donate their income from the game towards fundations).

There are few things about this game that are very conflicting to me. I like it very much and it has real charm to it and its own unique visual style. It is not your standard survival type of game. Devs went for much more focus around the story aspect with elements of survival with constraints, so world is not yours to conquer but to adapt to. So to list some of the pros and cons.

PROS:
- unique approach to survival, you adapt to the world and not otherwise
- charming visuals
- interesting background to the story
- different modes + challenges giving you a lot of playtime to cover
- base price covers all episodes of the story(maps and new challenges added for free) that were released until now
- it bleeds this Canadian winter atmosphere from every corner

CONS:
- lack of depth to existing mechanics, number of mechanics and I'm sure this partially comes from how the world limits you but there is a lot that could be done to expand and make game more interesting without rewriting whole game
- for every time that I wanted to say graphical side is charming I also notice how low res and clunky models or terrain can be
- lack of jump or even vault is at least irritating, I do also understand devs didn't want people to sneak outside of bounds or jiggle AI but you can improve upon those as even 1 foot tall snow is too big of obstacle for a player character
- sometimes very buggy including ex. random damage going down the slope caused by character floating and falling down and breaking their legs or wrists, getting stuck on terrain with no way of getting out

There are some cons but still the game is one that I would recommend.

OUT OF REVIEW COMMENTARY:
I do like this game... however I cannot help but notice that devs seem to ignore some of the feedback and are hostile at least to ideas that conflict with their own. Example being a mod by community that was created to address a real need from people to play and survive together, which was attacked and almost taken down(I think) but survived the onslaught and is still in development. Besides that main dev controversial issues with Geforce Now and you owning your game to launch it there(???).
Besides that Im sure that this game would benefit very much from some map creation tools for the community to build maps to share with each other. However we can only hope for this.

Imagine Xcom in 2D but in medival fantasy setting where magic is very uncommon, where world is very unforgiving and your experience is a difference between life and death of your whole company of men.

That is what Battle Brothers is. Open-world turn-based very addicting game of building the fame of your company from the ground. I cannot count how many times I had to reload my game to not loose my favourite men, until I realised that I should live with the consequences of my actions and accept losses as they are. You learn from your mistakes and when you finally get to the point where your company is able to take bigger challenges you are really proud of what you and your men achieved.

DLCs do add quite a lot of flavour to the game and for people looking for even more challenge is The Legends mod, which I fully recommend. This game was also insipiration for a new game called Wartales.

It is truly a labour of love and unique experience that I cannot recommend enough.

For anybody looking to buy this game. It is okay game but I would not recommend it to buy it for longer play. Multiplayer only works on the same network too(local network multiplayer), so you need something like Hamachi. Game has a lot of desync but there is no problem if you are doing coop playthrough. It is short with not too many levels, so it gets boring after some time.
If it was still supported and not the Abandonware I could fully recommend it as it has potential.

Let me start with that... this is not the bad game, the idea and gameplay is pretty nice for a side-scroller and I enjoyed my time with it. Tho, I would not recommend it for the full price. Those 3,5 hours is me trying to find everything on each level pretty much. Meaning game is pretty short and would be a lot better if there was some endless mode included with more upgrades and so on. That would keep me playing the game more after finishing the story.
So there is potential in this game but for the short time you can actually enjoy it I would not recommend it for full price. Discounted yes but not full price.
