In it's current state it's hard for me to recommend, but I also don't want to explicitly recommend against it. The atmosphere and visual detail is easily this game's biggest strength, however with poor optimization and questionable AI the gameplay can feel like a game from over 10 years ago. That being said the original stalkers were also plagued with issues at launch (and even to this day there's a lot of bugs if you play them vanilla), but there was still a lot of charm and immersion in those games just as in this one.

dlcs good, performance could be better but i personally haven't had issues. extremely hard if you're not exploring and trying to beeline boss to boss
