Game starts off really well, it's a lot of fun, punishing but not to an annoying extent.

I do however, have one major complaint. Without spoiling it too much, I felt as though the first boss of the game was very poorly designed. If you beat it on your first go of things, good for you, but if you didn't, the game becomes way more frustrating than fun. It forces you to replay the same "stealth" section of the boss with all the enemies back from the grave just so you can reduce the boss to a health pool that's manageable (Which isn't fun, it was neat the first time, just plain annoying the second time). I can't put my finger on it, but aiming down sights in this game in a fast paced setting just feels janky as hell, and throwing a bunch of hard to hit flying enemies at the player just feels like terrible design, especially when there's no visual/audio feedback that you even hit them in the first place when they usually take 2 hits to kill with regular ammo. To top it all off, there's a never-ending spawn of Wendigos that have no visual/audio feedback that they even spawned in the first place, so the only way you know is when you get hit by one, and they hurt, a lot.

Ultimately, the "boss" boils down into not even being a boss as it's just something you shoot while the game spams normal enemies at you, and you're forced to DPS check the "boss" as quickly as possible to avoid "boss" mechanics that are poorly designed. It was genuinely so jarring to experience this after what felt like a very well designed, and well put together game.

As of now, I've put a few hours into chapter 2, and while it's still fun to an extent, I started getting more frustrated with the game so I decided to take a break from it. Until the first "boss", I think the game was really something special, and I still think it's worth checking out.

Genuinely a fantastic lil' free game, wish there was a cosmetic DLC or something to support the devs.

Jank and Janker

This game steals a lot from Dark and Darker, and learns nothing from it. It tries to be a more casual experience but it just doesn't work, the game feels janky af, the animations are janky af, the whole game feels off.

People who say this game is just better Dark and Darker are literally trolling. This game feels like a mobile game.

Bit of a rough launch, but it's really not nearly as bad as people say.
Nobody cares about the stupid anti-cheat, there is a battlepass but you literally can't spend real world money to progress in it, there is an item shop but you can find premium currency in-game at a VERY generous rate. The game is lacking just a bit of content, but the way they set themselves up entails that they're going to be pumping out content at a steady rate.

Everyone needs to calm the hell down, this game is a ton of fun, and it is ABSOLUTELY worth the price.

This game is a lot of fun.

A good bit of the content is locked behind progression, but honestly I didn't mind it at all.
I thought there wasn't much there at first, and I was still having a blast, then to my pleasant surprise the game kept throwing more at me.

While I think this game would be fun playing solo, I still heavily suggest playing with a friend.
I can't speak for anything past 2 players, but playing this with another person who is just as clueless as you are to what is to come, was so much fun. I feel like playing with 3-4 players would take away from the experience in my opinion, but that could easily just be me.

Gungeon learned to walk so that Voidigo could run.

This game is fantastic, it takes the core concepts of Enter the Gungeon, and shows it that it could be so much more. No need to spend 10+ runs waiting for decent item synergy via RNG, no need to be amazing at the game just to have fun. Everything just feels incredibly fluent, they did an absurdly good job with the game. It reminds me a lot of Nuclear Throne, retaining that chaotic energy but making it not feel nearly as unfair whenever you get hit.

It's VERY solid, and I highly suggest trying it out. It is well worth $20, and even more worth picking up if it's on sale.

As of the current state of the game, singleplayer is essentially non-existent with how unbalanced it is.

As a 2-3 player game though, this is fantastic. It feels like it rips a lot of content from Slay the Spire, dumps it into an interesting, and unique concept to make it multiplayer, and it does it well.

Everyone takes one big shared turn until the monsters turn, and the way it's put together feels very fluent. Having everyone go at once, rather than taking turns makes a game like this feel so much more freeing.

I just hope the devs go in the right direction, and keep adding content to the base game, rather than locking new content behind DLC paywalls while the game is in Early Access. Only time will tell.

Very fun, inexpensive, and overall interesting VR game.

As with many other VR titles, I don't recommend using teleport for movement, it feels very out of place for a game like this; on the other hand, I can absolutely see this game (without teleporting for movement) inducing a lot of motion sickness in those who're prone to motion sickness.

I honestly don't really see the point in this being a VR game.
Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of fun, and very enjoyable.

Must buy for tabletop fans with friends, and a VR headset.
