I honestly don't really see the point in this being a VR game.
Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of fun, and very enjoyable.

Must buy for tabletop fans with friends, and a VR headset.

This used to be garbage, and then Borderlands 3 came out.
Now this is at least mildly enjoyable in comparison to the garbage that Borderlands 3 is now.

I'll try to keep it short. I'm not going to talk much about what the game is, find other reviews if that's what you're looking for, or keep reading if you're somewhat familiar with what kind of game it is.

This game is buggy, and very frustrating at times. The world is really intriguing, and the gameplay can be quite enjoyable, especially when you've taken the time to understand how to play. The price is fair compared to other VR games on the market. It's not very fleshed out compared to other VR titles either.

For what it is, I'm really mixed on whether I should recommend this game or not.
In it's current state, it's good for very specific people, take that as you will.

I really wish I could leave a mixed review. This game is fantastic, I highly suggest trying it out.
But I'm really disappointed that this game hasn't been getting any content updates since release (Aside from 4 new maps).

That's my 2 cents. It's a good game, I just wish the developers kept adding stuff so it doesn't get as stale as quickly.

This game is amazing, hands down. I've been searching for something like this for a long, long time.
Always loved Minecraft, but I hated how pointless it felt (As my friend Exnem stated in their own review for Valheim).

It's not just some MMO where there's a bunch of other people who're the "main characters"... You, and who you're playing with are the main characters, and it really feels that way while playing. The world feels real, even those it's procedurally generated. The graphics while simple, are stunning in there own way. Everything feels like it's out to get you from the animal life, to the trees/environment. You feel small in such a big world, and that's how it should be in these kinds of games.

The combat is enjoyable, and there's a lot of ways you can take a fight. Take it slow, parrying every move they throw out.. Dark souls dodge roll all attacks that come your way.. Jump backwards or even over the enemy.. Sneak up behind them which rewards you with a critical strike.. Or go balls to the wall, and probably end up dying a lot.

The game gives you purpose. It feels like you're constantly making progress, from crafting new stuff, finding new locations, fighting new bosses/enemies, passively leveling up skills, etc. Don't even get me started on the building system either, that stuff deserves it's own review all-together.

This game, is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic. Please, for the love of god support these developers. This game has earned the right to grow, and become the game that we all need during these trying times. I really can't wait to see what it evolves into.

So, to start out with... Dear god, absolutely do NOT purchase this game if you plan on playing with randoms, or by yourself. This game is so incredibly skewed towards having friends to play with, or else you won't get anywhere, and if you do it won't be very far, or for very long.

If you do end up playing with random pairs in-game, you're forced to hot-mic so everyone around you can essentially pinpoint where you are any time you want to communicate with your ally. I've seen so many teams that hot-mic, and get so easily slapped because of it. I'd highly suggest going onto the Discord server, and finding people to play with there, so you can setup a call/voice channel prior to playing; although, even then playing with randoms can be a real pain in the ass sometimes, for a wide range of reasons.

Playing solo is a complete joke. You're forced to play against teams of two, and trust me... Having that one extra person to be able to pick you up after you get sniped half way across the map because you wanted to walk from point A to point B, really helps. You will almost never kill a boss and extract with the bounty, because you'll always be swarmed with on average two teams, which means four players against you; not to mention those players probably all have medium-class equipment or higher, which you don't have because you can't make nearly as much money as a solo player, so you're stuck using free hunters. Yes, there's an underdog bonus... But it really doesn't give you enough to make it worth it.

This game is great, but only when you're playing with people you know, and can work well with. The developers are adding in a lot of new content lately, I just hope that it's not short lived.

Worth every cent.
