Excellent game! It's my game of the year and potentially my game of the decade.

The best money you'll spend this year!

Update: What can be said that hasn't already been said? It's a phenomenal game and anyone who has even a slight interest in RPGs should own this!

Truly the best Paradox game out there. I cannot recommend it enough. Certainly the most polished and immersive of their games to date! Highly recommend grabbing the base game and trying it with their dlc subscription service. If you don't like it, at least you're not out the (insert insane amount of money for 10 years of DLC)

Pharaoh, and it's expansion Cleopatra, were literally my first video games; I absolutely adore those games and they are partly responsible for my lifelong love of Ancient Egypt. That being said I'm not terribly blown away by Pharaoh: A New Era.

It's good overall; new players will probably enjoy this more than veterans.

The game is missing a bit of the "charm" of the old Pharaoh. The music isn't bad but it isn't great either and maybe that's my nostalgia speaking but I definitely prefer the classic soundtrack more.

I'm really disappointed with the UI and the art style for the walkers. The walkers being "cartoony" isn't a deal breaker but it definitely didn't feel like an upgrade to the old but rather a different direction the team chose; which is perfectly fine but it's just not my taste.

The UI on the other hand is painfully bland and flavourless. It's just this vaguely mud/stone brown that doesn't really have any personality. I much prefer the hieroglyphic style of the classic UI.

The absolute BEST improvement for me has to be the addition of an optional global labour pool which makes city building so much cleaner and simpler rather than trying to corral walkers and labourers into the right places to fill employment.

Overall, its a good game, a good improvement on a classic (albeit with some design choices I didn't care for), its just not a great game.

If you're new to Pharaoh or the rest of the Impressions Games city builders I highly recommend picking this up, but if you're a veteran maybe have a look at some gameplay footage before you decide to give it a purchase.

Really disappointing. It hasn't come very far from the original Kickstarter launch. I really can't recommend this to anyone.

Excellent game! I'm absolutely loving the complex economic, political, and diplomatic systems; military is fine and took some getting used to but it's getting way more hate than it deserves.

This game is absolutely inspired. I cannot recommend it enough. Dry British satirical humour. Buy it while it's on sale but it's definitely worth every single penny!

A great game! Works well as a nice in between for the heavier shooters (Squad, Post Scriptum) and the lighter shooters (Red Orchestra 2, some of the old Battlefields.


Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something between a milsim and a casual shooter.

Awesome game! Best thing to cruise around with friends on a chill night!

I absolutely love this game. Aside from being a phenomenal city builder it's also a phenomenal survival game! From it's atmosphere to it's concept I absolutely love this game through and through!

10/10, I can't recommend it enough.

Wonderful game with exceptional framerates and controls. Can't wait to try it out with my new x56. I'll update this when I get that and my VR hooked up; till then, good hunting!
