A somber, no-cost, 15 minute experience. But, there is not much gameplay here... just hold down W to advance through the map locations. The voice recording and the sound effects were excellent. The topic of depression was handled in a mature and interesting way. Worked perfectly with Steam's Proton compatibility software, with keyboard and mouse controls.

Lot of randomized elements, and deep gameplay mechanics, that make it a lot more than your typical point and click. They did a nice job with the lovecraft lore. It uses all the best elements of the original story, and the setting is super creepy. Played on the Steam Deck with the Deck Dock and a wireless mouse.

Fun revisit to an old classic. An enjoyable twenty minutes.

A lot of game-breaking bugs. I just had to ALT-TAB out of the game and then back into it again, in order to solve a complicated, timing puzzle.

I think you are better finding games on BoardGameArena, because the public servers of this game are empty.
Might be a good way to do pass and play, although it doesn't work on a smartphone.
The game's A.I. was not very good - so it is not worth getting for single-player experience.
All that said, the software seemed to work okay with Steam's Proton compatibility software.
This is a fun, quick game to play with a handful of cards. Try to make your own set at home :)
I made a set based on the characters from Breaking Bad, and another from the Hobbit story.

Very nice, no-cost point-and-click game. Enjoyable challenges and interesting characters. Took about a half an hour to complete. I packed for a day trip, on an Ubuntu Linux desktop with Steam's Proton compatibility software.

Although the historical parts offer a mature narrative of the brutal history of treating mental illness, this game gets a big NOT recommended because of the long, graphic simulations of electro-shock therapy and labotomy. These video sequences - and many other graphical elements - are present only to disturb the player. For me, that crosses the line into selling realistic violence as entertainment.

Further, I don't think that the steam store ratings are sufficient warning for this game. Even if you noticed that small notice on the third page, you may still be unprepared for the intensely graphic, personal, prolonged, and unskippable game elements that deal with self-harm and suicide.

A well-balanced, polished twin-stick shooter. It's the same waves over and over, but it's fun to pick up and play for a quick game. There's some steam achievement challenges to make replays interesting. The price never seems to go on sale, but I think it's worth the two dollar price. Going to try it on the Steam Deck, soon, as it works great on my desktop linux system with keyboard and mouse controls. I was not able to get full functionality on a gamepad controller.

This is quite an amazing game, though I am still in the early part of the game, even after 30+ hours. So, it is expensive, when compared to other factory games which Factorio has since inspired, BUT....

The demo provides a five mission tutorial that takes hours and hours to complete, with an interesting story, too. I believe that demo even provides the multi-player functionality. And while it only shows the early game technologies, there's a whole lot of game that can be done with just the first two science levels.

And my second point is that the price includes access to all the community mods and all the developer updates. I bought it on the developer's website, so I could get access to their forum. Maybe purchasing from Steam provides that too, but it's something to consider. Anyway, the thirty-five dollar purchase will give you a lifetime of automation gaming, if that's your thing. It is an gameplay experience that you can share with your friends, too.

Works great with my gnu-linux desktop and my spouse's window laptop. We had no problems getting the game running over the network. Also the game's discord server and website wiki were super helpful resources.

After giving it an honest try, I lost my patience when seeing game mechanics bugs. The game requires learning a lot of different systems, but in the end, it did not capture my interest. I had trouble caring whether the circus performed well, it could upgrade the carnival tents, whether the actors' quirks were okay, or the right food was cooked. And, I am a big fan of the Darkest Dungeon game, which inspired this one. The Amazing Circus just has too many things happening, so many details that need to be painstakingly understood, and the game just did not make the case of why should care. Had the developers stripped down the mechanics a bit more, then I bet it would have been a crowd-pleaser.
