I absolutely recommend to anyone, even someone who's never played the previous entries.

Buy Yakuza 5! It is a guaranteed 100+ hour experience and reinforces what Yakuza is all about. I have enjoyed my time immensely playing all the way from 0 - 4 and 5 has changed my whole perception in a very positive way on what Yakuza be all about.








Onto my hot take.

I haven't finished 5, I may pick it up again sometime in the near future after I get through the later entries as I plan on replaying 0,K1,K2 & 4. I finished 3 but it most definitely is overdue for a Kiwami remake.

My problem stems from the Haruka and Shinada chapters, they just do not flow with me personally, now I feel I have become a black sheep in the Yakuza community from this experience. I had always intended on playing 5 all the way through, I was even going as far to make sure I completed all the side content.

This is by far one of the best Yakuza games and the engine is the same on 0 and K1. I wish not to offend the Yakuza fanbase with this hot take but these later chapters for me did not hit the same, usually with the weaker parts of previous Yakuza games, I have pulled through and slugged it out. Could easily be burnout from the recent hours I've pledged into 5 but it doesn't hit the same for me after Saejima's chapter ends.

That being said, this is only my personal experience, I have seen forum posts of others discussing these chapters then to be ripped to shreds by the die-hard Yakuza fanbase. Please do not take this as an insult to your favorite game in the franchise, know I still love this franchise hardcore. Yakuza is one of my favorite series of games.

Wasn't in the best state on release, even now it has a fair share of issues but I would be lying if I said I didn't have fun.

First impressions are average at best, the theme and style is 10/10 but many heroes need huge nerfs and buffs applied to them.

The team-up system is a great step in the right direction but an absence of role queue is quite bizarre.

The moment you make a game a hero shooter, expect to be catering to the ultra competitive audience, nerf punisher asap. Other then that, great ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, can't wait to sink many hrs on this for years to come!

I am not a man of many pockets

Was looking for a WW2 shooter tonight and I was not disappointed. Not one hacker I came across, additionally the gameplay held up surprisingly well with classic 32v32 gameplay. Definitely good value when on sale

Don't get me wrong a 10/10 game, one of if not the best campaign in call of duty franchise history.

But I was just at the last mission and went to take a screenshot as i'm right at the end to remember this fine moment and I get a chunk allocation error when doing so and on top of that it wipes my save completely.

Not only that, everytime I go to relaunch the game for another session, the game has to be sent into safe mode multiple times until startup crashes are resolved.

If you are up to date on Windows 10 and above, I strongly advise you emulate or play it on a PS3/360 (Native/Backwards Compat)

On another level, could possibly be fooled into thinking this came out yesterday.
