Just here to leave some love for the gelocity maps! It's the reason I still have portal 2 installed and I end up playing it on loop from time to time. Thank you man!

Hey, not easy to describe in a few words.
1. You have to use the Portal2 Authoring Tools (Hammer), to edit your map. The ingame editor won't work.
2. Place paint_sphere entities where you want the gel to be, adjust the radius
3. Trigger the paint_spheres via logic_relay entity (not all at the same time)

If this doesn't help, I recommend to open one of my maps (not Gelocity1, I used a different technique there) and see how I did it. You will have to find the *.bsp in your maps/workshop folder and decompile it with a tool called BSPSource, then open it with Hammer

I am currently creating a Hammer race map. I am having some issues with the gel; I'm not able to have it appear on the ground instead of falling on the ground. I was wondering if you had any advice that could be helpful for me!

Hey man, looking at the comment section, I get you get a lot of this, but damn, Austria is a map very close to my heart. As a person who grew up with a semi-absent Austrian father and never really learned German all THAT well because of that, but always loving my dad, the country and the people there, when this got added to the map pool, I really felt it become a comfort map for me. Those few months are even now the golden age for me. Just putting on music from Wetterpanorama and cosplaying that atmosphere, so many good memories. Are there any updates for the map coming, or are there other priorities for the time being?

Please consider remaking Austria for Counter-Strike 2. It is my favourite bomb defuse map which I have been playing for years. It would look beautiful in the new engine, and I am so excited to play it..
