Dark Messiah Might and Magic is one of the...if not THE best first person shooter, ever made...which includes elements of RPG that are very cleverly incorporated.
The game, taking place in France many centuries ago, gives a breathtaking atmosphere and a multitude of environments. Many different landscapes are played, from castles and tunnels, to caves and cliff-side huts and a lot more.

While playing, skill points are earned, which the player can spend on certain skills which in turn unlocks certain weapons, magic, and garments. A rope bow allows for vertical travel, which can get the player to places they shouldn't be...and to secret places, of which there are many to find in this game.

It is a somewhat linear game that doesn't feel linear at all. And the game includes a good story that allows the player to make decisions that can actually change the game ahead.
But one of the most unique features of all, is that Dark Messiah Might and Magic offers a melee mechanics system that gives the player so many options while they do battle, it might take years to learn them all well.

All of those elements together, along with a host of great mid evil enemies and monsters, gives the player some incredible game play value. The different combo's that can be chosen between between magic, melee (sword play), archer and stealth/thief are so numerous, the player can play through this game 100 times, differently each time.

It never gets boring.
