So, how do I describe this game?

I was gifted it by a viewer after Hi-Fi Rush came out and was told I should give it a play. Of course I didn't know what to expect I decided to give it a go for my viewer and play it a few hours just to see what it was about.

I was blown away by the style of the game. The initial combat and movement of the game threw me off some but after a few minutes and getting my bearings it really started to grow on me.
As I continued to play I was greeted by a massive city with many, many different collectibles. I found out they were created by fans of the original release that made fanart. Further exploring I found battles with interesting types of music that also required some puzzle solving. An interesting storyline with many perspective. And all around an amazing and fun game.

What ended up being a game I was going to play for a few hours ended up being a several game sessions game that I played to completion and had no regrets and would encourage anyone to give this game a try, especially if you enjoy music.

This game is hard, but it's the right kind of Nintendo hard. You learn, you memorize, you get better, you try again, you get a little further. Your continues are always there and you get further and further. It's amazingly fun.

I cried.

This game gave me adventure, drama, story, intrigue, and scares all while playing as a cat. And at the end, I cried. I cried manly tears.

This is well worth playing, and you owe it to yourself to try at least once.

Do not trust this game. This game is unholy. A siren's song of digital code and deep lore. It baits you in with a cute ball character and a grumpy wizard, and you start play. You see little puzzles for you to learn, and it holds your hand teaching you as it leads you. Like a wonderful goat mom eager to see her young child progress through the game. You start to feel special as you do slightly trickier and trickier puzzles. True they're difficult, but oh it's not so bad. A few falls, a little recovery, and off you bounce your merry sword strapped on way.

But no, this is all false, it's only a few hours in that suddenly the hand is yanked away, and your tossed into a cavernous maw with test stones and bouncing between pillars as big cages easily squish you to your death. And then you can fully hear the siren's song along with cackles of evil laughter telling you it's no longer playing fair. No now you're in some sort of puzzle version creepy lovechild between Bennet Foddy's and Dark Souls. you keep trying over and over, seeing your round orb body getting squished, crushed, bounced and plummeting to it's death over and over. And the little times you get a spark of hope it's rapidly yanked away as you barely miss an edge, and you bounce, not just fall, bounce away so you fall right in the middle of the pit with no hint of pity. And after all this you managed to get through, you played the game in ways you're not sure was intended and somehow get to the next part. Oh that's when the worst comes in as you need stones to raise a platform, and they're all gone.

You can't get them back. They're all back at the beginning. and your only choice is to die, to go back, refill, and try again but do better. You will feel your spirit crack. Your soul howl with despair and rage as you die just to try again, and again, and again. and looking for help you find little resources, and the ones you do are doing the same thing you are, so it's pointless!

And the worst part, the absolute worst, after you walk away, cool off, and regain what little sanity you had left in your broken spirit, you want to go back and keep trying, because you know it's not impossible. You know you can make it if you give it.
One.
More.
Try.

This game will take you on a rollercoaster ride promising you sweets and candy, and you'll end up with super hot and spicy candy balls and an empty dread as you try one again to clear that cavern.

There's nothing more fun than getting your friends together to create a viking hoard and demolishing everything in your path to make a lodge to hang out in with lots of wolves as pets!

This game scared the crap out of me. There's more than enough Twitch clips of me screaming, whimpering, noping, and hiding in the truck. And I would eagerly play it again. Early Access or not this game hits the best spot.

I was told to play this game. I bought it on sale. I started swimming and began admiring the wonderful view and crafting fun things and building a base. Then I met my first predatory fish. He bit me and stole my ship parts. Eventually I ventured further. I then met my first leviathan. I screamed like a little girl. I kept playing, whimpering and crying the whole time as bigger things with bigger teeth kept attacking me and eating me and scaring me. I am now terrified of the ocean. I still beat the game. I cannot recommend it enough. It is awesome and will both scare the daylights out of you, and give you a beautiful journey into an alien world

For being tons cheaper than Adobe Photoshop it commands a lot of power and ability. Easily one of the best art purchases I've ever made
