I give this game a qualified recommendation.

Firstly, the game is beautiful. You journey thorough many awesome looking environments on your puzzle journey. I loved the environments, and could not wait to see what was around each corner, or in the next area. Props for all the discovery aspects of the game. Next, The narrative was also well done. It was enough to pique the curiosity, but not too heavy handed or dreary.

The puzzles were quite good overall. No bizarre logic leaps, nothing totally out of left field. In general you could figure them out without constantly feeling like you missed something. I really appreciated that about the game.

My big reservation is the horror(?) aspect. Without spoiling too much, there are sections in the middle of the game where you are pursued by a shade. When it touches you, you are reset back to a safe area. This made solving many puzzles in that area quite fraught, as you have very limited time to try an figure something out. Personally, I really dislike the addition of timers to puzzle games. In narrative Puzzle adventures, I don't want to feel like I am doing time trials, or being forced to play some sort of action game. This aspect really soured those chapters of the game for me. It took more away from the game by ruining the puzzling than it added in narrative and aesthetics for me. That's a subjective call for each person, so judge it for yourself.

Overall, a qualified recommendation, especially if my subjective downside is not an issue for you.

Ahnayro was an absolute delight, and a nice departure from my usual fare.

This game is part Augmented Reality Game, so you will need to use external sources of information to solve the puzzles. Google will generally find everything you need, and I didn't stumble across any spoilers when I did it.

The game gives you riddles, and you have a web of letters you can connect to make the solution word. The riddles lead you down absolutely lovely wikipedia rabbit holes, browsing around the interesting information and forgetting what you originally came for. Most of the puzzle solutions could be found with a low to moderate amount of searching, and you feel quite good for getting the result.

There were no odd leaps of logic. All the solutions made sense to me, even those I did not grasp quickly. There were a couple that it totally didn't get, and needed to look up hints for, but were fine in retrospect. I had just failed to make a connection that was provided to me.

I emphatically recommend this as a good variation to all inclusive puzzle games when you want a break from that format.

Overall, a very enjoyable puzzle game!

Zoof is great at not feeling stale. As you move through the game, you are given a wide variety of puzzles solve. This variety keeps any one method from getting stale, or feeling like it's outstayed its welcome. The chances in scenery are also quite good for keeping things fresh. In general, I found the puzzles to be challenging, but did not require bizarre leaps of logic.

A big plus with an associated drawback is that the game uses no text. This means localization is not an issue, and any forms of dyslexia or such will not impede the player at all. The unexpected drawback was that when I had contrast problems, I could not figure out the video settings to correct for this. This cause me to miss some buttons because they were invisible for me.

In another plus, there's no random horror, weirdly difficult platforming, or fast-finger puzzles.

This is not a narrative puzzle game, but it's not promised as such, so it delivers a moderate but varied puzzle experience. I recommend this for all puzzle game enthusiasts, unless you need a narrative to drive you.

I do not recommend this game. After the first 2 levels, my grip function stopped working. The buttons work in other games, so I know it's not the hardware, but I cannot get the game to recognize them. Sadly, this prevents getting past level 2.

I tried to contact support, but the support website url has expired.
