The successor to Counter Strike 1.6. At first I was skeptical about it but after seeing it growing rapidly in eSports I decided to give it a fair chance. It focuses a lot on the competetive 5v5 style of Counter Strike and does so really well. The matchmaking system guarantees that you are only 1 minute away from a somewhat serious PUG at any time.

The thing I miss is the movement from 1.6. Bunnyhopping is no way near as effective and strafing is weird. I played a lot of kreedz in 1.6 and really miss that element. Sure, there are KZ servers but they run with server cvars that aren't used while playing competetive, so you wont be able to use the techniques you learn on those servers in your standard play.

Also, wallbanging is very inconsistent. Some props on the map that looks the same doesn't have the same wallbanging capabilites. There are still spots that are spammable but much fewer than 1.6.

Overall it's a great competetive FPS game.
