I really wanted to love this game. It's exactly the type of game I wanted and had so much potential. Very disappointed that the devs abandoned in just weeks after it relesead.

Such a beautiful and deeply interesting game with unique mechanics. I always remembered the original fondly, and was so happy to see it make a return that didn't disappoint.

Unplayable game.

They stuck us with 'online only' where you have to use the bare bones matchmaking system even to play single player. And speaking of the supposed matchmaking system that doesn't even work, it's also blind. No more being able to see heists and choose to join them. You just click "join" and roll the dice. So you can't even tell if the servers are up because you can't see any games. you roll the dice and then just sit there staring at "searching for match" for 3 hours with nothing happening.

Even if the matchmaking wasn't completely 100% broken and not working it would still be awful because the ability to view and join heists that are either quiet or loud, or being hosted by names you recognize was what fostered a healthy community in payday 2.

And add to that you can't even stay with the same group. Remember in payday 2 when you'd have a blast with a pickup group, so you'd all stick together and chat for a few hours running heists as a team. Wont happen now. Not only can you not chat and plan your heist/load-outs together, as soon as the match is done you're dumped back to the main menu to never see those players again.

This game is such a drastic step backwards from payday 2 it's astonishing. Or at least it will be once it's playable. right now you can't even play it.

This game feels like an Aliens game should feel. It really captures the settings. It also has very unique and fun mechanics. I like having to make tough decisions on if i want to press forward a bit further or use my resources to save now. Do I move in with team A and secure a safe room for team B, or do I accept the loss of a soldier to finish the objective without another drop. The gameplay is engaging and different.

This game is exactly what i wanted from a necromunda PC game. They didn't just port the tabletop rules directly over, they used the medium to make improvements that fit what you can do with a pc game, but they didn't go overboard with it and kept it feeling like the tabletop game rather than making it too much of a 'video game' feel.
The AI can be pretty dumb sometimes, but outside of that i'm having a blast with it.

Very fun game. Was nervous after reading reviews, but i've been having a blast with it. The most surprising part was how good the story in it is. They also nailed the 40k universe. Sometimes it seems like with the glut of 40k games that developers don't have a grasp on the lore and the atmosphere of 40k, but with this one it captures it beautifully.

The only single gripe i have is that ability and skill descriptions are very ambiguous. Very often you have no idea if a certain skill or stat will effect a specific ability at all. Does the AoE tree effect abilities that are "path." many abilities just completely lack keywords all together so you have to guess at what passives effect them.

Once i finally was able to get the game to work it's a great game, for some reason i had to unplug my intenet as the game was booting up then wait to plug it back in until after the game was fully loaded, in order for it to not crash. Many people are having a wide array of game breaking bugs, so buy with caution. I'd actually wait until you see some patches deployed.

It's a shame really because the game itself is beauituflly designed, it captures battletech how it should. Once i finally got it working i couldn't stop playing, I left my original review below. I would recommend buying the game and if you can't immediately get it to work, getting a refund until they fix the inability for many people to even launch the game.

**How do you ship a game that can't even load past your company logo?
and to anyone who says "run it in windowed mode" adding the -windowed or -sw tag to launch options doesn't force it to run windowed, alt+tab does nothing.

Hell it's so broken I can't even alt tab out, or get to task manager, and even alt+f4 does nothing but make the annoying error sound so have to hard reboot to do anything on my pc.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME if you like final fantasy.
The combat is possibly the worst of any game i've ever played, and frankly i'm not sure what they were thinking. The entire combat system is holding down the attack button, you have no control over anything, no abilities, no interesting magic.
You have no control over anything but your main character, and even then all you do is hold down the attack button, or use the incredibly awkward warp to a random point and warp back.
Each of your party members has a whopping 4 skills to unlock, 4. That's it. And you can only equip 1 per person at any time, so in battles you have a total of 3 skills to use. That's simply insulting that they thought this was gameplay. It eliminates all depth from prior fantasy games, leaving exactly zero tactics or strategy to battle.
Magic, like i said magic is you throwing a bomb of one of three colors, there are no intersting spells with interesting effects. Once again, all tactics and strategy removed.
What were they thinking, everyone hated final fantasy 13, so they decided to take that combat and somehow make it even worse? The games everyone loves, 6, 7, 8, 10....let's not make games like that, let's make it like the one everyone despises, 13.
Trash game, waste of money, boring no-depth combat.

They did it again. This expansion is orgasmic. Too many good additions to name, but i think one that isn't talked about much is the new missions. They're so engaging.
