I don't really write reviews often so I will try and explain the game as best as I can with a personal yay or nay on whether or not I liked the game.

Short version - like left4dead but there are enough differences to make it it's own unique game and even different from left4dead. For example, to name a few differences, instead of guns you use melee weapons like swords, axes, ect, instead of zombies there are giant rats and each character has a slightly unique playstyle and weapon kit instead of everybody running around with the same exact weapon.

Longer version - so this is an action horde co-op. This is based off in the Warhammer fantasy universe (before the Age of Sigmar if you are lore familiar). You and 3 others work together to either get from point A to point B or to accomplish a certain task all while fighting off a horde of man sized rats and other special rats. You get to pick one out of five unique characters and only one person can play one particular character. All the characters are fairly unique in their own way, not only in the type of weapons they carry but the type of roles that they can fill. Even though all of the characters are damage dealers some (the dwarf and the human) can be a bit more tanky when carrying a shield around, while others (the elf and the witch hunter) can be more speed oriented in their attack vs heavy hitters, while the wizard can choose a more group based damage or target focused based. Although some weapons overlap between characters, they each have a varied enough assortment that you will have a a different play style for each one. About the weapons, you always carry two weapons, a melee one and a ranged one. Even though you have that choice you will most likely be up close in melee combat for most of the game, there are only 2 characters (the elf and the wizard) who could get away with using ranged weapons most of the time, but even then there will be times where you will have to beat some faces in. There is also a weapon crafting/collecting system in place. Due to the variety in weapons you get to "roll" for a weapon at the end of each level. The amount of symbols you get on the dice corralates the rarity of the weapon. The difficulty of the level also affects the cap on weapon rarity and certain in game items can help improve your chances of getting the symbols on your dice. Now since you are bound to get duplicates, this is where the crafting system comes in. You break down weapons for simple ores (ore color reflect the rarity) which you can then use to attempt to get another weapon of the same rarity. You can also use them to improve your weapons and change different stats on your weapons. In regards of the levels, the base game can be fairly short, but the levels are varied enough that they have some replayability value. They aren't just get from point A to point B, there are some defense levels, collection levels and sometimes a combination of multiple modes. You can also increase the challange of each level beyond the difficulty. There are some items, which are also used for the weapon drop at the end of the level, that you have to carry to the end of the level in order to reap the rewards. They take up a usable item slot and can also affect your health making it more challanging to get to the end.

So overall the game is pretty fun, especially if you liked other horde based games. The variety of characters and weapons allows you to play with different combat styles, even if you play with the same character repeatedly. Even though there might be "optimal" loadouts for the different characters, you aren't penalized for trying out other loadouts. The levels are rich in design and varied enough that you won't get particularly bored and will challange you in accomplishing the different tasks you encounter. And due to the fact that they added daily and weekly quests to accomplish (for example, kill a certain unit, finish a certain level, or collect certain items), it adds even more to the replayabilty value of the game.
