"It takes a strong man to deny what's right in front of him. And if the truth is undeniable, you create your own."

I remember when this game first came out, and I completely over looked it. Looking back on it now, I find myself wanting to go back, and buy it upon it's release date. Spec Ops: The Line is easily one of the darkest, and most harrowing games that I have ever played.

The choices you make in the game are extremely important, and with almost every choice you need to choose between two negatives. That being said; some of the options are just downright disturbing, and make you feel like a bad person afterwards. This game makes other war games look like a joke. While games like Call of Duty and Battlefield make you feel like some extremely overpowered bad ass soldier, this game does the opposite; it makes you feel like a monster, and not in a good way. This game shows that real war isn't so simple.

The only negative thing I can say about this game, is that it is very, very short. Only taking about 8 hours to beat, Spec Ops is still one of the best stories I've ever experienced while playing a game. While the gameplay, and arsenal of guns are nothing too special from a standard 3rd person shooter, you'll find yourself wanting more, and more to know what exactly is happening in Dubai.

If you like dark, and twisted stories, then this game is definitely for you. Do yourself a favor, and just buy this game. It's a great story, and it only takes about 8 hours of your time.
