An excellent Fire Emblem clone. Not just a clone, but a tribute to the old school FE games, with some quality of life improvements. I honestly hope to see more from these Devs.

-Good Story & Artwork
-Poor mechanics
Dev had my original review deleted. Let's just say that many years have passed since I assisted with the greenlight and early access, and I've missed out on half the game content then was surprised to see a DLC I had to pay for.

Solid turn-based Warhammer combat. It could use some polish in certain areas, such as the interface or leveling script, but this game is satisfying in all the ways it should be. Much better than the turd sandwiches that are being created of late.

They've got bugs, but thankfully have a rolled back version available while they patch things up. I will do a proper review some time, but I feel as if I've barely scratched the surface of this game, and it looks really awesome.

It's like Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's gate had a baby with Divinity turn-based capabilities.

This game has really improved over time. The devs keep plugging away, making it great.

A spiritual successor to Skies of Arcadia!

This has a well written JRPG plot, that is compelling enough for a variety of ages. There is a lot of dialogue in this story, so I would consider it half-visual novel when making a purchase. I think the characters are believable, likable, and fit into a well structured world. It gives me that cozy Fire Emblem feel.

Gameplay mechanics work smoothly, and combat reminds me of some of the greatest JRPGs of all time. The spatial combat field takes some getting used to when compared to models like Dragon Quest or Phantasy Star. It grew on me quickly though. I appreciate combat being pure turn based; no timers or swing meters.

The franchise series continues after this game, and can be broken down into trilogies that even incorporate import features. This is the first game, in the first trilogy, and the perfect place to start in this JRPG world.
