My first heroes game. The EA sign-in and breaking bugs were dissapointing. I feel like I've wasted my time and money .... which is what computer gaming equates to in the real world ... but I mean it in the gamer sense of should have bought and played something else.

King's Bounty Crossworlds IS Armored Princess, with more content, features, and orcs. If you're buying, just get the Crossworlds edition for turnbased, light hearted, epic questing.

Holy crap- Van Dread and Fire Emblem had a baby!

If you enjoy harem comedy anime and turn based strategy, youd should play this. It's a free game too, but is better polished than most of the early release projects and dissapointing games. It can't hurt to try.

Bought Eador - Wasted time and money.
Bought Fallen Enchantress - Wasted time and money.
Bought the newest Heroes - Wasted time, money, and got information mined by EA.
Bought Warlock - Had fun, but Warlock II is a waste of time and money.

Saw AoW3 on summer sale and warned myself to not waste time and money; but I really like it compared to all the other incarnations.

I like turn based, conflict oriented, strategy. It's not going to be as strategic as Total War, or as simple as Age of Empires- both genres I love. It is a Civ game, based on action and strategy and it's the best flavor I can find on Steam. The AI isn't perfect and it looks like they want me to pay for xpacs. You have to make an account with them to go online, but the game is still playable in solo mode without giving out your information.

I guess I like this one because it looks good, runs smooth, the races are to my taste (traditional with a Warhammer kind of twist), has very few bugs, and a subtle and funny sense of humor. It's basically a blend of the best elements of all the Civs I've wasted time and money on.

This game is an excellent reboot of the franchise.

If you're looking for tactical, turned based combat, this game is perfect for you. I recommend people start with Enemy Within (the more complete version of the game) to find out if they like the series. Some get very frustrated with the RNG, but the format is a time-tested formula of greatness, forged by Julien Gallop and tempered by Sid Meier.

If you're not sure, get it on sale. If you like it, play it then move on to X-Com 2.

Just finished playing X-Com and have the space shakes. Time for another great run of Mass Effect with the DLC's this time.

It's the latest, shiniest, version of King's Bounty. Light hearted, quest driven, turn based strategy fun. The bugs have been ironed out, so if you're a KB player or it's on sale, I would buy it for some viking fun in the frozen north.

If you are new to King's Bounty, pic your flavor. Original is classic. Princess (which comes in two forms, regular and Crossworlds- crossworlds being a larger and more complete version) you can play with your pet dragon and fly your pegasus. WoTN is obviously viking and has all the improvments of the series and some new features incorporated into it.

Post Emperor Edition Edit: I have changed my review to positive.

Having played Emperor's Edition I can now say, this is a solid game, as long as you use mods to improve it; specifically Divide Et Imperia by Dresden and friends. It becomes historicalicious.

Without mods to improve the flavor, and given its demand on hardware, I would recommend any other Total War game before this one. <Edit: Attila is the only one I don't own, but I hear R2 and Att are about the same flavor.>
