Souls-like + guns. What more needs to be said? Either you like souls, or you don't, if you like souls and figured it'd be better with guns, play this, if you don't like souls, move on.

Once you understand the language and how to programme some of the more complex functions this is great. The voice recognition is sometimes a little off, but once you learn the quirks and are able to work around them I couldn't recommend this any more highly for hands free control over just about any aspect of your computer. Whether it's gaming or just day to day functionality.

TL;DR:
So far, so good. Would recommend. 7/10

What's good?
The game play seems pretty good so far, the music is nice (especially when you summon Eikthyr, and presumably the other bosses too) and for the most part the crafting and building seems to be pretty well balanced. Combat works well, though is more reminiscent of an old PS game than current PC, as are the graphics. Stats level as you use them so the more work you put into something the better you are at it.

What's bad?
Honestly can't say I've run into anything I'd class as bad so far.

What could use improvements?
The spears feel far to short-range as instead of thrusting with it, as the spear was designed for, you tend to use a sort of downward stabbing action with it instead. I've noticed some slight targeting / hitbox detection problems, most notably when trying to kill the mobs called "Neck" even when standing on top of them.

The dropoff /flight arc for arrows is far too short.

Smelting seems a little unbalanced. When making bronze 2 copper and 1 tin go into the recipe, but only 1 bronze comes out the other side so when 32 units (of whatever weight this game runs on) goes into making a bronze bar, but only 12 units come out as the finished result, surely that should at least result in two bars of bronze even if we allow for spillage and waste due to being hand-smelted?

The graphics look like early PS2 rather than current gen PC, but that I can live with and the character creator is very basic. It's still early yet though, so hope stands for upgrades to the character creator in the future.

It's a little slow to start, but once you unlock some extra items/characters it really gets going and becomes a chaotic frenzy that's pretty damn fun.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Dwarves, aliens, mining. Despite the stylised look of the game making what som ewould consider sub-par graphics, the lighting, or lack therof, makes up for it and you don't feel like you need hd textures. The entire map is destructible, and no matter which class you're playing there's always a way, the only question is how long it'll take you. If you take mining / exploration of minecraft, the uncaring corporate overlord of Satisfactory and then mix it with Starship Troopers, then that's basically this game.

2 Major points for me that need improvement;

1; Need an option to make the models not look at the mouse all the time. Or a timeout on following it. So if you're watching a video on one screen and have them on another (or across all) they won't always be looking at the mouse and then after you stop moving it (due to watching video) they will then stop looking at it and look forwards at the user. Then when you start moving the mouse again they will look at it to see what you're doing.

2; Needs better AI. Despite having an "Auto-Wander" option I've found the models don't show much autonomy at all, they mostly just stand in the same place or sit down, though if left for a few hours they slowly shuffle to the right with no actual walking involved. Also, could do with better interactions between the user and the model, when clicking on them they will do one of a couple of preset animations, or if right click will tap the screen to bring up the menu. Would be good to have and option got dance autonomy going too. Have them do a quick dance, on their own with no music then go back to wandering, not that I've seen much wandering myself. And a kind of, if you don't interact with them often enough yourself they will go to wherever your mouse is and try to get your attention.

After having spent some time playing Shoppe Keep I can say that it's a decent resource management game, but very much feels more like a uni grad's project than a finished game. I can hope they've polished it up a bit for Shoppe Keep 2, but I'd definitely say that despite not being a full priced title, wait for it to be on sale, at least then you'll get your money's worth.

This game is definitely worth the money. (even though I was gifted it, it's definitely worth it's price) It is fun and creative. Love the setting and love the mechanics.

I will admit I wish there was more to craft and/or more uses for certain materials (ie, rocks,) because with certain stuff once you make an upgraded version of something there is currently no use at all for some materials. Though as it's still early access I am hopefull that the content still being worked on will do just that.

This one of the most disappointing games I've played in a long while.

I have 9 hours on record with steam, about 20 minutes of that will have been pissing about with the settings, because you can't do that in game, have to do it in the config, load the game, see if it's right, close the game, reopen config.......
And that's it complete. 9 hours. Done.
Better yet, you get your aim sensitivity just where you want it after ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around exiting the game a million times cause you can't do it in game for some stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason. - Unacceptable
And then there's two sections where you have to use a turret. Damn thing moves about 1/8th of the speed you are usually aiming at.

Max FoV is 80..... Unacceptable, even for 4 years ago.

It's supposedly a 3rd person shooter, though it devolved into a rail shooter all too often

Speaking of controls though... When it's teaching you to play...
If you have to use a mouse button it just says "M"
Doesn't even specify WHICH M to press

Aiming?
m
Shooting?
m
Charge shot....
guess what?
m

Not once does it tell you the difference between which ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ M it wants.
The cover system is jerky as hell. I didn't seem to find a crouch, no jump
and sprint is on [Space], same as cover, sub par graphics for it's time too.

Oh yea, and, best of all... NO MOUSE SUPPORT IN MENUS.
Like, at all, you move your mouse up and down, etc, and it just selects the
menus like you were pressing buttings on a controller - completely unacceptable

Takes forever just to get to the start menu cause you can't skip the fuicking intros.
But.... SEGA... what else is new.

Don't get me wrong, the story is at least average. If it wasn't I'd have put this game down after the first couple of hours.
