Since a lot of man-children seem to not know how to use the official forum to write out their frustrations over a botched update, the ratings of this gem have taken a slight hit.
Don't be fooled by them because you'd miss out on a very unique and brilliant game and the dev (singular) is putting in a lot of effort and work since its original launch.

Foxhole is an unique and highly addicting world war sim.
When I started playing the game, I spent a whole jolly day of blissful ignorance, fighting for some trenches, pushing back enemies over bridges and supplying the logistics with salvage from a liberated scrapyard.
It is a solid game which got a lot of love and detail from its devs. But it is also an MMO, and this is where it's problems start piling up:

There's a lot of very toxic and elitist players. Some of them even play on an alternative accounts, harming the opposing side from within.
People steal other players vehicles whenever they won't being watched for two minutes, veteran players enjoy completelly outplaying and murdering whole flocks of Privates for the sake of making them quit playing again and the way Foxhole plays is heavily dictated by the communities current meta.
To name an example: You like building bases? Well better don't because the enemy might just come along with a skilled machine gunner and your days work will be destroyed within the hour. (Yes single gunner in an open field>snipers in fortified positions). And don't expect anybody to rush to your help if the enemy is pushing behind your lines, because people tunnelvision so hard they don't realize there's no road for their supplies to come in anymore.

It's a great game with lots of opportunities, but once the immersion was broken for me by such a dictating meta, the game had comletelly lost it's charm.

I can't get enough of Foundation.
It's like they took the best parts of all the city builders out there and combined it into a masterpiece.
The towns I created felt incredebly alive and immersive, thanks to the game dropping grid-based building and instead allowing for completelly free placement of objects.
Also villagers automatically draw roads, which is a feature every game of this genre needs.
Absolutelly worth it's price!

One of the happiest gaming experiences for me in a long time, Wuppo obviously has been created with passion and an eye for detail. It's a cute story about a lazy potato, who clearly has yet to learn the meaning of responsibility.
The game has great dialogue, a strong backstory and lots of hidden pieces of lore and secret items, which invite to explore a beautifully designed open world. Wuppo has a level of depth I didn't expect, with a vivid world, that is influenced by your progression through the game.

The story took me around 8 hours to complete on normal while spending reasonable time on secrets.
If I had kids, I would love to play Wuppo in co-op with them, though I'd recommend this game to any age group.

Huge open world, complex crafting menu and beautiful landscapes to settle in. Perfect for people who like medival mmorpgs, trading and the dangers of a mostly lawless world. It's a rather slow game so you should bring some time, also don't get turned down by the overpopulated spawning areas. Run for a while and find a secluded spot and hope no outlaw crosses your path. Life is feudal after all.

As much as I played and loved the game, I have to say, it has become quite trashy.
While the amount of creatures gets an ever increasing number, the immersion suffers a lot. I just cannot accept having creatures from all epochs thrown together without even the slightest attempt to at least make them act natural. There are no herds of trikes still, peaceful creatures stay completely calm while a T-Rex eats something directly next to them and pterodons are for some reason the sickest machines of war ever created. But hey, at least Alosaurs know how to hunt in packs right?
Secondly the community has devolved to a mass of paranoid carebears, which, to ensure their dominance over the microcosmos they are living in now, on some servers use methods that would seem rather fitting for a fashist regime. I've encountered official servers, where you would be wiped of the map repeatedly unless you join one of the few tribes, that are "on the list". I cannot at any point recommend a game, where the exclusion and hate on other players gets cultivated so much.
My third critique is pointed at the immense amount of time this game consumes. For every hour you invest the game will gladly demand another four, tending your plants, feeding your dinos and making the heck sure none of the bigger groups might find and wipe you, which would get you back to zero.

On a fair note I have to say, I really enjoyed the time around the primitive update, but as "TEK" now seems to be the new doctrine, all I can say is, I'd rather watch some 80s action movie to get the same sort of trash-fiction hype, with a lot less time of my life wasted on creating content for some major ****heads.
Don't say I didn't warn ye!

Freaking awesome game!

If you are into complex logistics and tend to perfectionism you will very likely develop (at least) a slight addiction.
Also I'm a huge fan of the tower defence elements it offers. While the gradualy advancing building options let you develop more and more complex mechanisms and security measures.
I hit the restart button quite a lot up until now, but in my book that's a very good thing.
Everything feels polished and I love how alive it feels even though it's 2D. It really gives you the impression that the devs put their very hearts into this title.

I'd probably stay awake the whole night playing this if I wasn't too tired to think.

Good fortune entrepreneurs!
