its pretty good, a lot of my adventurers have died due to my hubris; music goes hard, art is awesome, common trinkets are actually good, and combat has less variance but still enough to make things exciting

I recommend this with the caveat that there are a few bugs still being sorted out. If you are okay with that, go ahead and buy it. Otherwise, wait a few weeks THEN buy it. It is pretty fun trying to puzzle out solutions to rooms based on how you've built your deck, something I thoroughly enjoy.

Good if you are okay with the game being challenging/hard right from the start. Unlike Slay the Spire, Monster Train, etc. there aren't really any meaningful ways to tune the difficulty to whatever level you'd like. This is an interesting design decision and it really highlights what people want out of games these days (judging by the Steam reviews anyways).

If you like casual puzzle games, this is a great one to have a go at. Hoping for dlc/additional content at some point with more biomes but the game feels complete as is.

Real-time card battlers are extremely rare; this is an excellent addition to the genre.

Very fun game; screaming at my friend to save me right before we both die to the dong monster makes me feel alive

Sort of like binding of Isaac room fights, enter the gungeon's weapons, and vampire survivor's meta progression were all mashed together and this was the result. Very enjoyable, never feels like the game is wasting my time and that whenever I lose, it is my fault for playing poorly (not because I got screwed by random BS). The game is challenging but fair; I feel like I've gotten way over my money's worth and the game isn't even finished yet. Highly recommend.
