The game has soooo much potential but recently Take Two announced it would be shutting down Intercept Games and laying off everyone. Wouldn't recommend until it's been proven that the game won't be abandoned.

Bought it to support the development of the Infantry Overhaul and support OWI moving in the Project Reality successor direction

It has a ways to go, as of release it's a solid foundation.

My main requests are:

-VOIP quality improvement
-Rally Spawns
-FOB Spawns
-Medic Revive System
-Larger maps
-Better Suppression

Other than that, it retains much of the soul from Project Reality and it really does feel like I'm playing an updated version of it. I helped fund this game for a long time on Patreon and will keep doing so for the foreseeable. The development already seems faster paced than even Squad, which is something Bluedrake42 pointed out when he would talk about this game. (This game is his baby)

If you're expecting a fully fleshed out game at this time, be realistic, it has far to go. It's free though, so go ahead and download it, play a round. I highly recommend you follow the development of this game, a year from now it'll definitely be worth playing.

I very much see this game surpassing Squad in all ways and achieving everything Squad did not, becoming a better successor to Project Reality than Squad ever could.

Go away Tencent, get rid of the sellout devs

It's everything I wanted from a Rainbow Six Vegas 3 and I know they'll add more. I own the supporter edition and have access to the Testing Discord and it's great to see how active the devs are in there. The Testing Branch is updated every single day it's great! As of January if they keep this pace up I'm sure they'll meet they're stated end of EA goal in 2023. In addition there is already a very healthy modding community and many mods can be found on Nexus Mods, which I recommend looking into.

The best Halo experiences since Halo 3 Multiplayer, the weapon sandbox is superb. Only issue is the slow and unrewarding Battle Pass system coupled with micro-transactions that make WoT and War Thunder look like saints. The customization and Battle Pass need a major rework but other than that the gameplay is stellar. I can't wait to play Singleplayer on 12/8/21

On a more serious note, after playing 30 hours*. Cold Waters is a great mix between sim and arcade. While I can't say it lives up to it's spiritual successor, Red Storm Rising (I wasn't even born when that came out) I will say it's a damn fun game when you get your sub into a position that can obsolutley wreck your enemy. And the feeling of escaping either unharmed, or even severly damaged is a great one. Like many other games at release, it has it's bugs.
-Event Camera bugs
-Getting an engagment to end
-OP as hell aircraft (I guess you can consider it more of a gameplay feature that needs tuning)

Looking forward to 1.1 and for them to hammer down the bugs.

*30 plus hours because since you can't save in battle I just leave the game running while I sleep and have it paused.

My Cuban infantry and mountain divisions are leading an Allied beach landing operation on the north coast of the Iberian Peninsula (Spain).

I have claims on two German States.

China is pushing back Japan to the Korean Peninsula.

Italy is fighting a grueling war in North Africa by playing ring around the rosy with French and Commonwealth Forces as they try to cut eachother off from supplies.

It's only 1941 almost '42 and the US is just preparing to enter by sending volunteers and building up.

Portugal will always sit and watch the world burn.

This game is 9/10


The first time I saw this game, I thought it was just another stupid strategy game, but then I watched a friend play it, he bought it for me 1 day and a half later....I haven't stopped playing since. I know the UI and gameplay has been redesigned to help us new to Paradox Games' games. I will admit that this game was overwhelming at first, but if you put in the time and effort to LEARN, then you will quickly love this game as much as I do.

All this coming from someone who usually prefers sims and realistic games such as BMS 4.11, DCS World, War Thunder (when it wasn't a fail), Darkest Hour, Heroes of the West (RO2/Rising Storm), Project Reality and Squad.

It's pretty good.
