Had no idea it was going to be about mayans and aliens. Would have been better as a music rhythm game.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and story of this game. My only complaint is the blocking mechanic and difficulty of the final stage due to this. Blocking does not feel right and often you think you should have blocked the hit or been far enough away but you still take damage. Fortunately, the blocking mechanic is not important at all, as you can just use the taser and whack away at enemies. Unfortunately, the final stage takes away the taser with no explanation and forces you to master the wonky blocking mechanic or die a billion times. I had to drop the difficulty down to easy mode for the final boss, and it was still exceedingly frustrating. Despite the final stage, I recommend this game overall and enjoyed the most just walking around exploring the stages and kicking things to see what I could knock down and break. One neutral comment: what is the point of the other melee attacks? I had no idea you could press 1-4 on the keyboard or D-pad on controller to do other melee attacks. I feel like they just had some extra animations they wanted to throw in. Anyway, it is an excellent kicking simulator.

By the time I finished this game, I had a headache and felt nauseous. I like the music though. I could make and play this game by slapping my ♥♥♥♥ on the keyboard, but I didn't, so thumbs up.
