Thought about finally giving it a try since I enjoyed the previous titles so much, but found out very fast that this is not an upgrade but a lazy attempt at creating a sequel. So many reused sound effects and ability icons from both older games which give it an unfinished feel, as if they're just placeholders in a beta version of this game.
Overall even now a year later it still has a dirty taste of unfinished and laziness on it that just doesn't warrant the price even on a sale. Try it if you must, but don't expect much if you're a fan of the previous entries.
