Pros:
Nice condensed open world, easy to get around, especially once you get the Golden Travel Pack.
Fun to just wander around and explore.
Beautiful scenery
Even though it's a post apocalypse setting it still seems lived in.

Cons:
Yellow ropes and white cliff edges. Why can't we just have free climbing?
The opening of the game is way too long.

If you enjoy board games, or even just making D&D maps, this is the program for you. Also it's really fun to just set up a map or game and then just flip the table.

As a note I like this game, but even then there is problems that I can see and admit about.

Pros:
+60 FPS
+Password System for Co-Op or PvP
+New Lighting
+Some HD Textures
+PvP and Co-Op are live again(for now)
+Gravelord works in NG instead of ONLY NG+
+Able to quickly swap to the first item by holding a button
+Able to quickly swap to the first spell by holding a button
+Quality of life changes were added, like using multiple souls at once from your inventory, or giving multiple items to your covenant

Middle Ground:
A new bonfire near Vamos (however i wish there was also one added in New Londo but hidden away)

Able to change covenants at bonfires

Changing covenants no longer builds up sin unless it's leaving the Forest Hunters

Cons:
-Some low res textures (that weren't remastered)
-New glitch involving the Steam Overlay (if you open the steam overlay while playing to reply to a person's message, check the web browser, look at community guides etc. You will use the current item in your equipped items, which is 99% of the time an Estus Flask)
-Chain backstabs still being in the game
-No respec system (accidentally level a wrong stat, time to start over or suck it up and end up over leveled)
-Resistance is still a crap stat that doesn't do anything.
-NG+ is auto triggered no matter what ending you do still
-Vertical inventory still(unlike in Dark souls 2 and 3)
-If framerate drops too low you get auto kicked to the title screen similar to Dark Souls 3 (this fix was in Dark Souls 2 btw and never seen again)
-PvP arena is still in the DLC and we can't access it right away
-Using an item(s), and reopening your inventory while the animation is still going off, when the animation ends the inventory will close before you can use another item (in Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne, this wasn't the case and could have easily been brought over.)
-Gameplay is tied to the framerate so if it ever drops under 40 FPS the game goes into Slow-Mo

8/10 would recommend to players who've never played the original game, still not worth $40 imo and if you don't own the game you should wait for a sale

5/10 for players who already own the original game, not worth the $20 if you already own the game, wait for a sale if you want to get it.

This game was awesome and fun to play (albeit there was alot of problems) but the main thing that kept this game alive for me was modding, I had an entire roster of almost all DB, DBZ, DBGT and DBSuper characters along with some DBAF characters. This was fun until DIMPS or Bandai Namco(i'm inclined to think it was BAMCO cause they do this kind of thing with other games they Publish) where now the anti-cheat hits innocent modders mostly instead of the cheaters. You can't even play the game offline without having to go into the games files. If you do have mods and try to play in offline mode even, it just starts up, shows the title screen and auto closes. Do not get this game until this is solved.

Edit: It's been updated you can now play with mods offline, turn off EAC and so on. So I now do recommend this game.
