In my opinion this is an awful game.

Why?

AI

I can't seem to avoid being knocked out of the race in later laps, I haven't played Grid Autosport in a long time but I came back to give it another chance today having downloaded it yesterday & the first event I entered was a 5 lap race in career mode. In earlier laps I was knocked around a bit (as you'd expect) a few times, one of which made me drop from 2nd to 5th place but I pulled that back & took the lead as I was going into the final lap, On one of the final turns of the final lap I slowed down for the bend just to be smashed into from behind spinning me around & dropping me from 1st to 7th or 8th place. It's a consistent problem that's happened a lot in the past and it was driving me crazy, hence why I gave up on this years ago. The AI cars seem to get more aggressive in the final sections of the race & ignore what I'm doing in front of them. They act like a cheater does in multiplayer events in games like Forza or Gran Turismo etc.

One to avoid if you ask me, which you didn't but if you had...

All I wanted to do was compare the UI to the one for PP Ultimate, I didn't want to start playing the game or get given an achievement for booting it up, I also got an achievement for completing the tutorial but I didn't complete it, I alt tabbed out of the game to avoid completing it but I got given the achievement anyway. Pixel Puzzles Traditional has now given me a massive hurdle to jump for improving my global achievements which I don't appreciate as I like working on improving my stats and have been doing so for several years since I saw how bad they were at 17%, For that reason the franchise is dead to me, I've spent a lot of money on their games & DLC's over the years but they won't be getting anymore, I don't appreciate these types of tricks to pull people into playing their games, It's a shame as the games do speak for themselves so they don't need to do things like this but they do so fu them.

As for the game itself, here's my issues with it. It's called traditional but has non traditional cuts. Next it has lots of high piece puzzles that are all but impossible to do within any reasonable length of time due to the size of the pieces, they know this, it's been highlighted by players in the past yet they ignore it and keep churning out puzzles with a piece count that makes the pieces too small for digital games & unsuitable for monitor screens.

1st EDIT: November 7th 2021
At the moment I'm only playing Dirt 5 to get some of the Steam achievements done & after looking at a guide I went with the one for unlocking all the throwdowns,
The first 3 are unlocked & I expected others to unlock as I progressed but they never did so I presume this achievement is about making us spend more money not winning races. Please let me know if I'm wrong.

Original Review:
27th Oct 2021.
Dirt 5 is Rubbish!
Dirt 4 is much better & that's embarrassing because Dirt 4 wasn't one of the greats.

Can you believe that I actually stopped playing this days ago and went back to play some WRC 4, 5 & 6 instead, I can't believe it either but it speaks volumes about Dirt 5 & with EA now owning Codemasters I likely won't be getting anymore Dirt games if they don't release on Steam, or GOG. I'd be okay with GOG but that's not gonna happen. Maybe GOG will get Dirt Rally 1 if we shout loud enough but my voice is already little more than a croak from all the shouting I've been doing at this dumbass game.

I'll add edits to this review once I've got the stomach to play it some more.

@ 17 hrs.
I gotta admit that I wasn't expecting to be giving WRC 9 a thumbs up due to the floating like a balloon issue that's spoilt the last few WRC games for me but, they've finally done something about it & it plays a lot better now. It still has a few issues but they pale in comparison to that one so I'm finally enjoying WRC again.

Wheel support is hit & miss. Apparently people with the G29 can get it working but I couldn't, The game forced me to spend my first 20 minutes of gameplay unable to access the settings, that was a large chunk of the refund time gone so after several failed attempts to get my wheel seen I decided to cut my losses & get a refund. The app style design of their games sucks, It's why I regret buying the games I did buy on the Win store & why I won't give future Xbox games that come to Steam my money unless they sort the racing games to work across the full range of PC wheels etc out of the box.

I decided to play the full story before writing this review,
I spent 104 hours clearing the majority of the missions and the finale & this'll likely be my game of the year.
Days Gone is well made & stability's great (I had one crash for an unknown reason).
The story had substance and most importantly I ended up invested in the characters which is what really separates the good games from the excellent games,
Days Gone gets a big old Thumbs up from me. Now if you'll excuse me I have some hordes to go kill.

Seriously? Along with blocking me from finishing the Demo & its achievements they've now blocked us from the threads meaning I'm unable to remove the 2 posts message in the top right corner because I can't get to them.

EDIT: I've figured it out now but even so you suck Capcom, I'll spend my money elsewhere in future & only buy your stuff when it has a big discount.

Hi,
Pro's: It's a movie you control with decent sets, okay characters & alternative endings (I've only done one playthrough so far but it's good enough that I will do more)

Con's: The story is a bit basic & some of the things the characters do are beyond stupid but we do see that in the real movies too.

Final thoughts: We're still early on in the life of interactive movies so future interactive movie will get better & more complex* but even so I enjoyed playing this, It's a nice way to relax & watch a movie you can direct.

*See what I did there :D

The single player campaign is okay but paying £69.99 on release for the Ultimate edition and then finding that all it adds is a 30 day booster which I wasn't interested in using and a Halo Reach skin is a joke, I was expecting at least one upcoming DLC but no I paid an extra £19.99 for basically nothing & now they want another £14.99 for the Hivemasters DLC, Disgusting. If you're going to act like this you can sod off back to the Win 10 Store for all I care.
