It's a sandbox game that tries to make itself a competitive, sports-like shooter. Yeah, the effects and destruction can be neat, but the best strategy will always be to instagun with the same laser weapons. That has only gotten worse through copious nerfs. The weapons and gadgets are okay to use, but even the shotguns have less DPS at point-blank than an automatic rifle. Laser ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it isn't very fun. When the strongest weapons have more damage, accuracy and ease of use than everything else with the least skill, what's the point of learning or using anything else when you get punished so hard for doing so?

I'd play it more if they could balance anything worth a damn, but they can't. The AI for voice actors is a little disheartening too, when there's obviously enough budget in everything else to fit in less than ten voice actors. There's a reason you don't hear about this game much anymore.

The update made combat more frustrating. In an effort to "rebalance" weapons, they've become significantly more sluggish. The added bonuses from new skills don't feel fluid, they were either already in the game, feel clunky and like an instant-win button or "hold your triggers together in the right way to kill an enemy".

I was hoping for *more* sword fighting in my sword fighting game, instead all of the swords were made pointless and enemies barely react to blows. AI are even more annoyingly over-aggressive, meaning that you have no time to act in any regard in the higher difficulties *without* those previously mentioned instant-win button moves. It feels forced, uninteresting, and while the new magic is intuitive in it's own way, it doesn't promote a swordfight. I'm not finishing Crystal Hunt, because it's only become a chore with nothing new added, and the only new skills being, as mentioned, bad or already in the game. Great, I can't thrust my sword or kick in the air anymore without flying in a random direction and using this as intended just causes physics jank. I'm gonna wait a couple months for my favorite mods to become available again, and then maybe the game'll be playable. Vanilla is not what it used to be.

Early Access Review
Pavlov tries to be a shooter and a social game at the same time. Which can work, but it conflicts with how the game is made.

The shooting is mediocre. The sniper rifles are very twitchy, the weapon balancing isn't fantastic and I have more technical errors with my index controllers in this game than anywhere else. Everything Pavlov's base game comes with like maps, game modes and weapons aren't very good. The main appeal of the game is simply being a big multiplayer shooter in VR with some social elements thrown into the mix, but once the novelty of virtual reality wears off it begins to feel more annoying to play than anything else.

It's definitely a fun game with friends in a Discord call, whether that be a 1v1 or a whole group. But the base game isn't very fun without custom gamemodes. The modding substantially improves gameplay, though doesn't make up for built-in, fundamental flaws.

It's worth the money for awhile. I can never find myself actually wanting to come back to this game anymore. It's lost it's charm now that I've gathered more hours on VR, and it's no longer interesting.

Buy the game if you're going to play with friends a lot. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't plan to.

Base game is pretty decent. Fun stuff, more things to do than Watch Dogs 1 with new ways to enjoy the sandbox. Issue being, the multiplayer PVP is *completely* broken.

Bounties will often glitch themselves into buildings, although they still usually work. Usually. You can drop bombs from a nearly undetectable drone which instantly kills anyone, unless they miraculously spot it before being blown up in time to jam comms.

Weapon sandbox is broken. It's just completely broken, I'm serious. Anti-materiel rifles which instantly kill without being scoped, two-shot kill spammable semi-autos, grenade launchers and more. Not to mention how often bombs are spammed. Unrelated to the game itself, it's old enough that now you're practically guaranteed to be spawnkilled over and over again in half your matches.

Don't play it for multiplayer unless you're doing Co-op. The rest of the game is pretty good.

I played the game a lot more on the Xbox One version. I've seen all of the maps and know all of the strategies from 2018, but it's impossible to have the fun you used to have with all of the broken items.

Mad Max occasionally bugs in some kind, but it's pretty fun for anyone who's into apocalyptic games or cars. The vehicles and customization are done well and it isn't too hard or too easy, the story is good and most of the game's progression is nice.

Amazing game, at the end it felt like my heart was thrown into a wind tunnel. Never been bored. Ever.
14/10, buy this game. Should cost far more than it does.

Just a basic good game to play when you want, that's it.

Not a typical fallout game. Even then, the game itself, DLC and Mods are all prettygood. Note, I've only ever used the Bethesda.net mods, no Nexus.

It's a greatly fun game. Even after completing the story, there is still a ton more to do with villages, military bases and such. All the guns feel and work well, it has the best vehicles, physics and grappling hook i've seen. Even the DLCs are all worth buying, though I haven't played in the Stingray Ocean Base DLC due to my fear of open waters. It's a great game and I haven't even seen the end of it. The Multiplayer version is almost just as fun.
