this game is a fun time sync and i'm looking forward to future updates
its also fun to look around google maps and figure out good defendable places around the world.
the story as well, told in through radio conversations, is really interesting. I'm looking forward to learning more about the infected. and about who sent the first transmission telling survivors to leave their bunkers~

so far I have played about 25 days on normal. the graphics are amazing and I would die for Kelvin and Virginia. i love the building mechanics for free building kinda wish there were more things i could do to decorate my base lol.

there are a few things I'd like to point out for anyone considering this game in its early access, however;
occasionally when opening in the inventory i get insane frame rate drops. cant tell if this is my pc or early access bug, but closing the inventory and reopening it fixes the issue.

find a 3d printer as soon as you can, it prints decent arrows for early on. also the flask.

the game as it is now is a slog. its partly is good if you don't mind a bit of a grind. but i was playing on normal not hard and it was unexpected.
Cannibal attacks early on are almost constant if you stay in one place for too long or set up camp; and they are annoying if your in the middle of building your base and the giants can tear down your walls very easily.
but after day 20 i barely get a moment of peace if I am at my base its either cannibals mutants or both. luckily if it is both they attack each other.

while I enjoy the challenge, this level of constant fighting just to get basic things done in a day can really wear you down over time. its not something I expected on normal difficulty. setting a lot of traps did help and once you are in the rhythm they are easy enough to dispatch. but again a slog and something i really hope is patched so the difficulty curve is less steep. maybe attacks get as bad as they are on day 30 instead idk. not necessarily a bad thing but if i had known i might have started my first play through on peaceful as i am more story driven, personally.

speaking of, another slightly bothersome thing to contend with, if you want to focus on the story. you need the shovel; to get the shovel you need the rope gun, the caves to get these two items are like a dungeon crawler. and if you don't have enough batteries for your flashlight (if you have it) or enough sticks and fabric to make torches it is incredibly dark. good for horror, the moaning blind mutants can be off putting as they emerge from the darkness. but to go through all that for story critical items especially as healing items are very far between and you can only carry so much is exhausting. idk if i want something easier, for at least the rope gun. or alternative ways to get these items. but this is the opinion of someone who loves walking sims and puzzle solving more than fighting waves of enemies. so take it with a grain of salt.

in spite of the two paragraphs above i do really enjoy this game. and i look forward to what future patches bring.

finally. ♥♥♥♥ the tiny baby mutants ♥♥♥♥ them so much, I want a special kill type where i can just yeet them into the stratosphere or stomp their tiny crawly baby heads. ♥♥♥♥ those babies. 10/10

Oh where to start with this game.
I want to say I love it. PVP isn't normally my thing but a fast paced dragon riding game with cool graphics? sign me up.
and then you get matched up with 6 Chinese players that are pinging across the map and avoiding all your hits.

or you are the only level 10 in a squad of level 2's against players that are level 20.

or your teammates disconnect the second the think they might loose pretty much securing a loss for their team when you could have at least made it a close call thats enjoyable for everyone. it sucks the fun out of what is a decent game.

I would like to come back to edit this review in the future and see that the matchmaking is fixed. I will still play. i enjoy the zoomies and I will keep my stress ball nearby for when man children who have never been taught how to handle defeat in a video game with dignity disconnect.

this is an Insidious game. you boot it up and explore a beautiful simple world. the lighting effects are amazing and the soundtrack is so soothing you can almost forget that the deer honk. the building mechanics draw you in as you start building your first Viking Longhouse...

...11 hours have passed! but you still cant log out because you just need to finish clearing out this Crypt and then you have to return the iron you found, by boat, to your stronghold, you prey the wind is in your favour-its not. there is a sea serpent following you...

10/10 will loose sleep and neglect other aspects of my life for this game again.

I have had this on my wish list since it was first announced, i've played through the skyrim mod version more times than i can count. the story is refreshing and interesting.

so far I have only gotten one ending, I really enjoyed it and it brought me right back to playing the Mod with enough differences to keep it engaging. props to the Devs. this was well worth the wait and its clear they put a lot of effort into it to stay, not just close to the original version, but also incorporating Greek/Roman Mythology effectively. 10/10 I highly recommend playing.

i saw the negative reviews and had to see for myself.
kind of reminds me of Feralhearts i used to play as a kid where you could make your own lion and chill or roleplay with others.

graphics is bad. the speed your character flies through the map is bad. camera control feels like i yeeted myself through time and space.. too slippery, if that makes sense? character creation feels unintuitive.
BUT, as far as i can tell this game is being made by a single person. and its free to play.
i wish them luck and hope they can improve in the future. but as of now i wont be playing anymore.

i would recomend this Visual novel if you have the time to kill~

I really enjoyed the plot but I do feel like it could have been a longer game. i think instead of a visual novel if it was a point a click puzzle game or something along those lines. but, then, like i said just being longer would make me happy. there was so much more potental for more endings and Character development and subplots. and i woudl ahve happily sat for many more hours unlocking the endings.

the art is beautiful as is the soundtrack ( I actually brought from the creators site after finished the game) the voices are amazing and i actually felt like the main Characters had genuin emotions.

I followed the development and some of the VA's like Jonah Scott on tumblr and ultimately I wasn't disapointed
i really do recomend at least one playthrough just for the story. and I hope that the creators make more games.

soundtrack 10/10
voice acting 10/10
art 9/10
story 9/10
Characters 8/10

6 hours in. lots of trial, error and hella lot of quicksaves later; i can almost see the light at the end of Jiyeon's story. only 4 more to go after this. this is a serously good game. you really have to put the hours in so well worth the money.
the girl you play as is relatable and the guys are quirky and fun. the art is fantastic.

few tips;

1) save! save.all. the. time. quick save is your friend.
save before you go out on dates.
save before you talk to one of the guys.
if you get a bad feeling and feel you need to save. save.

2) when in doubt; give Jiyeon an orange.
