This game has such a good sountrack, I love every single track!
A bit weird that three tracks are missing (thr two tracks for the Train stage and the Main Menu theme) but overrall every piece in the sountrack is tremendously good with a great general style.

An incredibly fun game that's like a mixture between Pong and Super Smash Bros, you gotta hit a ball to make it bounce around the stage and have it hit your opponents; with every hit it gets faster and faster and harder to hit back or dodge, the 6 characters avaible all play incredibly differently but having a few more would have been nice, however they still posses a lot of personality and charisma, all of their designs are cool, varied and creative.
The graphics are really nice and the music is quite good aswell, it's a great silly and original twist on the usual 2D fighting genre that can be played both casually (in a 4-players FFA setting) or competitively (in a 1vs1 style-match). It's just a really good game overrall.

Possibly the best game I've ever played in my entire life, a Platform that can reach the same levels of quality of Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World, and that's saying something!
Super Meat Boy is a fast paced platformer where you'll have to complete hundreds of short, ultra-difficult levels with no ability other than being able to run and wall-jump. It's plafrotming to its finest as it relies on it level design alone without any other move or special ability to use, that's why the levels really need to be spot-on for the game to be enjoyable, and they are!
All the stages are incredibly creative and different from eachother, also the "blocky" graphics with the simple color palette manages to give an incredibly retro feel to the game, the stellar sountrack is also pretty memorable and you'll probably start humming the stages' tunes if they'll ever come to your mind.

If you like Platform games Super Meat Boy is a must-have, give the game's really high difficulty it's not a game suited for beginners; while you may be stuck for hours on a single stage being able to complete a world's level in any order helps you in not getting frustrated, also the feeling of beating a level that made you go crazy is just AMAZING!
So what are you waiting for? Go play this game right now! You won't regret it!

A game that can be considered a modern classic, Portal is an original puzzle game with an incredicly originaland cool gameplay mechanic: you have a PortalGun that can create portals on any white surface, you can move or make objects pass trough the portals and use them like teleports, momentum is also conserved when something goes in a portal (so getting in a portal at high speed will fling yourself away when you exit from the other one), allowing for original platform-like sequences.
The game also features GlaDOS, a A.I. that will guide you trough the varios test rooms (the "stages" of the game, each one with a puzzle to solve) and give you tips, her sense of humor and funny dialogues will steal you more than a laugh.
The graphics and great and the ambiance is well-fitting and atmoshperic, but the sound effects and expecially GlaDOS' amazing voice clips take the cake, even if it's short and not so hard the challenging bonus stages will give you some trouble. It's a must-have that everybody should try at least once in their lives.

A physics-based platform game where you control an egg and you have to reach a glowing beam of light without hitting spikes or falling into pits, the game has got peculiar controls: hit the LEFT or RIGHT keys to make the egg jump in that direction, do it while holding SHIFT to make a higher jump, most times you won't jump far enough for getting over gaps so you'llhave to roll a little bit to get momentum and jump further. Learning how to move can be hard but once you've mastered the controls the game isn't particularly hard, it sure isn't easy but it's nothing too excessive or anything.

That if you want to bead the game normally, there also are harder versions of the standard levels that are simpy full of spikes everywhere that will really test your skills and patience, other that making you lose tons of time. Due to the huge amount of skill needed to move around and a slightly random factor in the character's movement the game can get a little bit frustating, thankfully the lightly colored and simple art style mixed with the music, classical orchestral compositions, will easily make most hard lvels easier to digest. Buy it only if you like hard platformers or rage games like the Unfair Plaformer or Cat Mario.

An incredible game that mixes a lot of different game types: you'll swith from a classic 2D basket game to a 2D puzzle-platform to sections where you have to avoid obstacles, in all these different game styles your objective is always the same: score points by getting the ball in the basket and defeating a purple goo-monster that kidnapped your sister.
The graphics and audio of this game are incredibly well-made and sort an unique and great-looking style that seems ripped from a comic book, the game is unfortunately quite short and even if some segments can be pretty tough it won't kee you entartined for that much time...
Buy it istantly if you see it on sale: you won't regret it!

LOVE is a cool retro-styled platform game with minimalistic graphics, controls and music; you have to get from a side of the screen to another avoiding any white-colored objects and/or pits, you can only move and jump but the level design is good and the stages manage to feel really different from eachother even with the limited amount of actions (said levels,in most cases, are incredibly good looking sometimes, even if they are fullymade of simple monochromatic pixels...).
Another great element of the game is the soundtrack, always entartaining and fit for guiding you trough the various stages. The game isn't that hard not long so it can be completed in around 1-2 hours, however extra modes (like a time challenge or no-death mode) can make it pretty long and hard to beat if you are looking to 100% it.

The Plan is not a game like any other, it sacrifices gameplay for graphics and audio/atmosphere: you control a fly and you have to fly upwards avoiding obstacles like fallinf leaves and other hazards, the game is impossible to lose and it's incredibly atmospheric with its majestic-looking depiction of the forest (with its huge leaves as we see it from a little fly's persective) and stunning orchestrated soundtrack that shifts and changes to better suit the action.
Since its free and doesn't take up that much space I don't see why you shouldn't dowload this little gem right now.

VVVVVV is an original platform game, and one of the best ones out there.
The story is simple: you take control of Captain Viridian in finding all of the members of his ship that got lost in another dimension, you'll have to explore this weird place where space can loop and bend in unpredictable ways.
You can't jump but your only ability is to reverse gravity when you're on the ground, fast and accurate gravity shifts will be needed for manouvering around moving plaftorms, disappearing platforms, spikes and big drops; the game's world in one big area divided in sections (called stages), each one of its own color, where you'll be able to find the lost members of your crew, teleporters (for moving trough the world faster), crickets (hidden collectables) and a lot of checkpoints. That's right, the game is pretty tough and in some later sections you'll have to die a lot of times, however the game is neither puniching or frustating and even if it can get really difficilty it rarely becomes too extreme or frustrating.

The presence of an in-game level editor (you can also play levels created by other users!), lots of secrets and stellar retro graphics and sountrack makes VVVVVV a must-have for any fan of retro game or generally anyone who's looking for a good plaftom-ish game.

An excellent version of Tic-Tac-Toe. It's just like the original but with a little variant: you have to play separate Tic-Tac-Toe games in each space of a mega-grid, once you complete a game in a grid this spot is assigned to you (or the opponent if you didn't complete it); there is also a "Forget" mode where the move each player made 4 turns ago is erased so that the board will never be filled and the game will never end unless somebody actually makes a row (basically it's impossible to end in a draw). If you like the original this game will be a lot of fun for you!
